I purchased this adaptor so my son could use his general aviation Bose headset when flying KC135 aircraft for the air force. The flimsy rubber grommet that holds the single connector cable into the box broke after only about 3 months of use and allowed the cable to stress the internal connections. The adaptor only comes with a 3 month warranty (because that is how long you can expect it to last!) After opening the box to make repairs I found a small circuit board with a switch, an LED, a 0.01uF capacitor and two 1/4W resistors (3.6k for the LED current limit and 1k in series with the 0.01uF capacitor). The quality of the workmanship inside the box is terrible. This product is not safe for any kind of aviation. I am disappointed I gave my son something so dangerous. For safety sake, don't buy this product and risk communication failure. In fact, if this is any indication of the quality of Faro products I would keep away from anything that has Faro on it.
