Good deal!
I had bought a 6P (incandescent) some years back at a great price, with the intention of buying a Surefire fitting aftermarket 300L output LED bulb assembly - for ~$68 delivered. I opted for a local store's sale priced Surefire P60L ($27) LED bulb assembly, which puts out 80L for 8+ hr vs the incandescent assembly's 55-65L for 50 minutes. I already had a 6P LED that came with the P61 LED assembly, so I ended up with two similar lights - for a while. A neighbor/thief robbed my car one night and relieved me of the converted 6P and my GPS - and some of my sense of security. I wanted to try one of the more powerful LED replacements - and decided on the "650L' supposedly US-made unit which is the subject here.I received my $10 LED assembly in two days (Prime). It was packed in a small, but sealed, poly bag - with no instructions. I removed the outer spring - and unscrewed the 6P LED's head and removed it's P60L. The replacement assembly dropped right in - no 'fitting' required - and it worked perfectly. As the P60L has an outer spring, I elected to try the replacement with it's outer spring in place - and it fit just as well, athough uncompressed, the OAL is greater with the replacement than the original. This additional OAL means that the head won't screw on quite all the way - leaving 5/32 inch gap with the outer spring closing down to ~ 1/32 inch gap measured between the head end's octagon and the body's rounded bevel. As the lamp assembly's tapered end contact's the body's outer (-) sleeve, I would suggest that you would need the additional rotation room for good contact under wear. Machining marks are visible on the heat sinking Al & brass barrels of the replacement assembly. The only printing seen was 'YY12S-01' on the viewable circuit board.Comparing the beam size, spill, and intensity was easiest with the Surefire Fury, which is rated at 500L. I used the already in place used Surefire CR-123A Lithium cells, which paired at 3.12 and 3.14 Volts. The beam size, spill, and intensity were quite similar, with the color being decidedly warmer from the Fury - and cool white from the replacement. The 6P read 7 degrees F warmer than the Fury after 10 minutes of on time (Both laying flat on the desk.) using an infrared thermometer. The hottest point on the 6P with the replacement assembly was the head/body junction, with even the tailcap feeling warm. The body of the 6P was uniform in it's warm feel, meaning that it is part of the heat sink. The replacement was noticeably brighter than the cooler to the touch Fury, indicating to me that the Fury has temperature feedback, which won't allow cooking the LED or the Lithium cells - extending their lifespan in use. As the replacement conveys heat to it's negative sleeve/body, I would only use it in an Aluminum 6P-style light - not a plastic ("Nitrolon").unit. I don't know what the max Lumens are - but the Surefire Fury is rated at 500L - and they look equally bright initially, with the Fury being more warm-toned (yellow) than the cool toned replacement. I feel it is a deal!

great upgrade for older surefire lights
I had some older surefire flashlights that ran the p60 bulbs - led and incandescent. i had stopped using them some years back since they were not bright enough compared to more modern flashlights.I found this item and though i would give it a try. WOW! these relatively inexpensive bulbs modernized my old lights. all i had to do was remove the large spring from the back of the new bulb and it was a perfect fit (except for the m951 described further below).i have no way to measure lumens, but just looking at light output side by side with an old p60 led bulb i would say it is 'at least' more than 10 times brighter.i also got it to work in my m951, but it was a bit of a struggle. the bulb only goes into the flashlight tube up to a certain point. so you take off the big spring from the new bulb and then use needle nose pliers to gently pull the smaller spring out from the back of the bulb until it is long enough to contact the batteries. it might take a couple of times. note that the bulb is a tight for in the m951, so to get it out get a wrench and slowly and gently turn it until it comes out - don't force it.buying more to upgrade the rest of my old surefire flashlights.recommended.

Flashlight geek
Fits my Solar Force 18650 powered lights WITH the outer spring, Surefire 6p (2x cr123) just pull off the outer spring. Fits my buddy's old Surefire weapon light no idea what kind that was, looked like a bulky 6P.Bright? Yup, I have over the years kept buying newer LED replacements as tech improves . These are clearly brighter than whatever bulbs I had, the beam is whiter than my older "blue ish" bulbs. Focus is centered for distance, but has enough spillage to light a dark room. Too bright for up close work like an electrical box or under a car hood. These are best for outside, walking a dog, camping. Battery life depends on your battery, I have inexpensive Ultrafire 18650s I'm happy.

Works Great on my Surefire 6Ps (read the full review)
Surefire 6P – not a perfect fit but a perfectly functional fit with no modifications needed. The top housing will not screw all the way down to the base but tightens just the same. I tested by removing the battery and submerging in a glass of water for 10 mins. On the 6P as soon as the top housing covers the O-ring you have a seal.I also tested the run time. (Note that 6P is a one mode light) 1 hr 51 mins full intensity. At 1:51 it’s like a switch flipped and you are at about ½ strength (still more intensity than the original bulb) and within 3 mins the unit was cool to the touch, ran at this level for 4 hours. After 4 hours it dims again to about the level of a 1st generation keychain Maglite, usable light but not impressive, never the less it continued for another 26 hours before finally turned it off.I also dropped tested it 10 times from 8 ft while on after it was nice and warm (30 mins in). I have now replaced the bulbs in all 4 of my 6Ps with this unit and happy with just the 1 hr 51mins full intensity run time along. (Note this was using Surefire brand CR123a batteries).I can only speak to the Surefire 6P, I would caution any buyer to pay special attention to the base measurements and compare it to their current bulb housing. In my case the base housing’s overall height/length was the factor that keep it from fully screwing all the way down to its original position, which as mentioned before turns out to only be cosmetic as it still tightens and seals just the same. Given my total cost was $10 a light to upgrade my old 6ps it is well worth the cosmetic trade off and that gap between the housing unit and the base is a perfect place to now strap on a paracord lanyard.
