I recently tried out the WOOASK A8 Translation Earphones, and I’m really impressed with how well they work for translating different languages. I tested it with simple Chinese to English, and it worked great in speaker mode, making communication super easy.What’s even cooler is that you can use the earbuds on their own for real-time translations. It translates straight into your own language, so conversations feel super smooth and natural. The range of languages it supports is awesome, making it a must-have for travel. I’m definitely looking forward to using it on my upcoming trips! No lagging, well worth my money!!!

The screen doesn’t work so no translation capabilities.

I bought this device because I travel to asia and need to speak to people in Mandarin. I am bilingual in Hungarian and English, so I figure I would test the unit out with Hungarian. The free speaking mode using earbuds is a disappointment. I thought each earbud would pick up the speech of the person wearing it. But the actual microphone is on the main unit. The ear buds both play the same audio translation. The problem is, the device doesn’t figure out which language is being spoken 90% of the time. It keeps assuming an English. So having a conversation with someone speaking a different language is almost impossible in the free speak mode. So that brings you back to using the speaker and the base device itself, and manually pushing “A” or “B” to specify which language you will speak the translation time is fast, but this is not what I was hoping for at this price. I can get this functionality on my iPhone using google translate for free. I’m probably going to return the device. The earbuds should have a microphone to listen to each person.

Not worth $200. Please do not buy this for $200. I am so sad about this.

Don’t buy batter does quickly and needs internet to work halfway

The earbuds only work on wifi unless you pay extra for the downloads. $80 more to actually get the one language downloaded permanently. , or you have to pay for days of translator time. This is a rip off! The wifi translation works ok. This is too expensive.

Took the TransBuds to Paris, and they were a lifesaver! The real-time translation was spot-on, and the noise-canceling made conversations clear even in busy spots. Comfy to wear all day, and the battery didn’t quit. Highly recommend for travel!
