Kids are so weird. I loved rock candy as a kid, and my own children are nuts for it, too. You'd think they'd never eaten a sweet thing in their lives. They were all over this! The strings were full of sugar clusters, but they were pretty short. Growing up, when I'd get them at an amusement partk, they were super long. I like them shorter though. In fact, I cut one in half that was actually longer than the others. Being shorter means they last longer and there is less intake of sugar in one sitting. There was a little powder in the bottom and a couple of little sugar shards, but I was impressed with how many were intact.

It's sugar. In large crystal rock form. God save your teeth lol, but it's tasty. Pretty good value for the price as well.

This came in a box with other items I'd ordered. Everything in the box was covered with white powder from where this had leaked. The contents of the bag had a lot of smaller broken pieces, though maybe there aren't supposed to be bigger pieces on the string. It isn't clear. The taste is sweet sugar as expected. They feel cheap. Once out of the bag and cleaned off, they're mostly alright.

This is a pretty basic commodity: sugar. The sugar tastes sweet, obviously, and clean. Being in crystalline form, it does look really cool and might make a good display, although they should probably be wiped with a wet cloth first because after banging around in the bag for a while there's powdered sugar all over every crystal surface so they don't look great out of the bag. Mostly good for kids, though probably older kids would be better since there is a string at the center and younger kids may choke. Each of these roughly 3-6" long strings has a fair amount of just straight sugar, so giving it to kids may require snipping the strings shorter if you want to avoid giving too much. Might good for tea as well if you hang it over the edge or hang on to it, unless you want a string floating in your tea.

The White Rock Candy Strings are exactly was I was expecting and I'm happy with them! They arrive in a 1 pound bulk bag and there was very little powder or pieces, all were intact. I ordered these to go along with a home 'fun' science experiment about growing crystals. Since our experiment takes a while for the crystals to grow, I was happy to find these as I'm using them to show a similar end result. These are just clear white, solid rock candy crystals on short strings. I thought they might taste like vanilla but really they have no flavor at all other than a plain sugar candy.

Overall, I really like these white rock candy strings from the Hampton Candy Store. It's kind of exactly what you would expect - essentially pure sugar in crystal form and the taste is typical for white rock candy. It's nice for snacking or even sweetening drinks (if you don't have normal sugar lying around). The bag was typical for bulk candy and didn't have any leaks. Reasonably happy with it.
