NOT cheap garbage - you should get one!
I LOVE this weighted vest.It is superbly constructed and fits the torso perfectly. It never feels uncomfortable and I use it for over an hour every, single morning.Since I’ve only had it a short time, I’m starting out at 10lbs. But the beauty of this model is that you can adjust your weight tolerance up or down by simply inserting (or removing) the 2 lb weights to the attached pouches on the vest. You don’t need to go out and buy another vest - this one will grow with you as you become stronger.I have no clue about the alleged “smell” others have mentioned. I had no issues with this whatsoever as there weren’t any. But if you do have a problem just set the vest outside for 30 minutes or open a window. This is such a minor detail when compared to the benefits. This vest is an outstanding value for the price. You get a wonderful addition to your work-out regime that is built to last and will make you/keep you strong.

Love my purchase but made for a Sz S or M body type.
I have been using this weighted vest for several months now every other day while walking or hiking 3 miles. I started out with 8 lbs and worked my way up to the full weight now. I had read that you should get a weighted vest that is no more than 11% of your body weight. It really is quite heavy and hurts my shoulders and upper back and neck about halfway through my hour walking. But as soon as I take it off, the pain is gone. Gradually increasing the weight has helped me tolerate the ache I feel while wearing it and allow my body to get used to it before I add 2 more lbs. it’s also important to add weight gradually or you can get plantar fasciitis. It does hurt my feet so I try to wear very supportive and cushioned shoes avoiding my shoes that are worn down with a lot of miles on them. I lift weights heavy 3x a week and wear the vest on my cardio days between weightlifting days. If I walk briskly, I can get my heart rate into the moderate zone (according to my Fitbit) with this vest on. I walk and hike a lot with my mom who goes slower and I wanted to still challenge my fitness even though our pace needs to be a bit slower than I prefer. I love that the vest zips and I can put it on and off without having to lift it over my head. Honestly it is so heavy and I can’t imagine having to put something like that over my head. I like that the weighted vest is adjustable to make it tighter. That said, it really is best suited for a woman who is a ice medium at most. It fits me and I have to tighten it up alot and I’m a size 4. Petite being 112 lbs and a 5 ft gal. My friends have tried it on and no one can zip it though. I would guess my friends sizes are ranging in size from a Large to a 1x. So I don’t think it will fit all body types. I haven’t had to wash the vest yet, but this was the only one I found that advertised it could be washed in the washing machine with the weights removed. Love that! Who wants to wear a rank stinky vest?

Like the adjustability of size and weights
Appreciated the free shipping on such a heavy item--18 pounds! Arrived well packaged. The zipper makes it easy to get on and off, once the straps are adjusted to fit my size. Feels comfortable and secure. Didn't notice any smell. Really like the fact that I can add and subtract weights easily.

Like the ability to adjust weights
I do like the ability to customize my weight on this vest. It is hard to put in or take out the weights, just takes some time and patience. I feel like a dork wearing it outside, I look like I’m wearing a bulletproof vest walking my dog. And it is not breathable, don’t like that!

Great Starter Vest--Solid, Well-Made, and Very Adjustable--I'm a 6'4" 200 lbs. Male
Being a 6'4", my first priority is always fit--"will this fit me?" I am pleased that this vest is very adjustable, as the shoulder straps and bottom wrap-around Velcro strap have a great deal of flexibility in sizing. This is my first weighted vest. When the vest arrived, I immediately hiked two miles in our hilly neighborhood with ten pounds of weight (5 bags) onboard. The vest felt pretty good and will likely "break-in" after more use.I was impressed at the quality packaging used to ship the vest. The inner box was very strong and designed to hold weight, while the outer box (custom fit) added to the package's integrity. The package arrived in perfect condition which always tells me something about the company making the product inside.Pros:-I like the way that one can customize the weights by adding 2 lbs. at a time. Just try to keep your load balanced front & rear.-The zipper, which a couple of reviewers complained about, seems adequate, while not great. The good thing is that even if the zipper becomes inoperable, one can still rely on the Velcro strap to secure the vest across the front.-Although I am not there yet, I like the fact that this vest can be washed.Cons: I was disappointed that the shoulders straps don't contain more padding. I am a bit thin with bony shoulders, so I just placed a foam rubber pad under each shoulder strap to start with.I think this vest is an excellent choice for those trying a weighted vest for the first time. You can begin with minimal weight and slowly build from there, the materials and construction seem to better than average, and the sizing is very flexible.

A great weighted vest
My doctor recommended the use of a weighted vest to do workouts for bone strength. This vest design and quality is very good; furthermore, very effective when doing a workout- comfortable. Recommended to buy.

Jogging won’t work if you’re petite
The product overall is good quality and I love that weights can be removed/added. It isn’t a great fit if you’re a small person, so it’s not good for jogging, because it bounces around, but it’s fine for walking.
