I can see
I can see what are melting. There’s no ambient light coming in from behind. You can wear prescription eyeglasses or cheaters with this and also it works well in getting into tight areas where a helmet wouldn’t be able to go.

no way to buy clear lenses
Good for tight areas but I can't buy clear lenses so it's useless. I even called the number on the manual and the guy says he can't find it! SCAM!

Great product
I like the slimness of this helmet I’ve seen many reviews of comfort of eye piece. So far it hasn’t bothered me just yet. The true color is amazing easy to see and the tint is great. Went up to 13 and to me it was too dark had to lighten it up for me. Probably recommend having a head cover had a couple sparkles jump and got bit toasty that’s on me. Can’t wait to lay more beads.

Questionable quality
I was excited to get the upgraded version of these grinder/welding goggles. The earlier version has a battery in it works very well just annoying that the battery dies out and there’s no real way to seem to turn it off. So I was excited to see the new one had a built-in battery and does seem to have a way to turn it off. but to my dismay, a 2 foot fall not forced just the weight of the system themselves hitting the ground was able to crack the screen more than one place. I’d hate to think that if something was to fly at your face and hit you that you would not only be upset that your screen was cracked, but it might not actually stop anything from hitting your face. I do not know if I’ll re-order anything from the company again as I can’t believe that this is the kind of quality they push out.

OK welding goggles with partial face protection
These are OK for cutting and burning. One problem I see that is probably going to happen is the top of the goggles there’s no debris or dust cover over all of the controls so when you’re grinding and welding guess where all that grinding dust is going to go and all the sparks right on top of the unit and it is probably gonna mess up the controls I can only imagine.I don’t think I’d use them for most of my stick welding, which is pretty much the brunt of all the welding that I do. They’re not super comfortable because the gasket goes around your eyes and your nose puts a little pressure on your nose. I would Recommended using them for cutting and I think you’ll be OK. They won’t be comfortable if you have to wear them for a long time if you’re welding in my opinion. One other good use for these would be if you’re welding in a tight space and your hood will not let you weld comfortably. They don’t use separate replaceable batteries. It’s got a built-in lithium battery with the USB charge port so just make sure you charge it up before you use It, wouldn’t be good to run out of power in the middle of a job. It does have an LED light on it, which will help illuminate your work area, it’s use is yet to be determined though.
