NOT FOR MED TO LARGE HAMSTERS; head for rubbing ulcers plexiglass circle cutout can be sharp!!!!!!
This is a nice looking great cage for non chewing hamsters whom are small or can barely touch the fiberglass/plexiglass DISCLAIMER: keep an eye out for ulcers from rubbing of your hamsters skin on the burrowing chamber the plexiglass can be so sharp for under arms forehead and under neck… our poor hamster is now hampool… if you get the Deadpool look reference….. please watch or instantly pad all parts to the clear chamber. The concept was amazing, that’s why I’m so sad to see what happened since I didn’t keep enough of a close eye… have to return… it was over $100 I thought I was giving him something amazing… I’m so ashamed….also installed by myself with teen helper.. took 1 hour and careful and slowly used drill as you can go right through the very thin wood material… lots of bedding or floor covering needed as they are NOT SEALED! Watch spacing when putting on ledges…. NOT FOR MEDIUM TO LARGE HAMSTERS!!!!!!!

Cage
Absolutely love this cage, however I will have to make a few modifications as I am using it for my african dormice squirrels. The wire mesh on the top has too big of holes for them. Other than that it is perfect. Easy to clean. I wish it had a way to prop it open while cleaning it.

Perfect for a hamster !
On a random vacation my daughter decided to pick up a hamster from a local pet store, the pet store provided a small plastic cage with little ventilation. While scrolling the internet for something better I came across this cage, I loved that you could watch them through the plexi glass, and that the top was completely ventilated with chicken wire ! The only down fall is the chicken wire may need to be reinforced, our cats love to sit on top and it's hold is not very strong. For the price you can't beat it !

It’s okay
Not a bad cage. Didn’t take long to put together if you follow the directions. The top could be better secured and the locking piece on top was placed on incorrectly. I think it’s a cheap thin plastic for the front of the cage, wish it was more durable but overall works for the hamster.

Easy to assemble and good material
My Syrian hamster love it so far but if the ramp to get up was a little longer it would have been perfect but so so far I’m really happy about it:)

Better than those plastic pet store cages
The wood is splintery and there was a split piece but did not take away from the function of that piece I cut out the plexiglass divider from the frame it was in to allow more natural burrowing and flow of the habitat. It is MUCH better than the temporary cage he was in. He’s so happy to have all the burrowing space and different levels of platforms. I didn’t use the platforms provided but used ones on stilts instead so I can arrange it any way I want. It’s funny now I see this as a temporary habitat til I can afford and make space for a larger one🤣. I was missing one piece. A chain for the lid. I’ll just have to keep it near a wall so the lid won’t fly back too far when opened. It was very easy to put together. I’d recommend this as a starter habitat for anyone.

Almost perfect!
The media could not be loaded. This is my fourth pawhut cage (I have too many rodents)My partner recently ordered this cage to replace my girl gerbils current one (they started eating a corner of it, plus they needed a bigger cage).Pros- Size, Easy to put together, Divider, Easy to watch the gerbils, Delivery, ClaspCons- Slight damage, GapsThis Cage is quite large, not quite as big as my boy's cage (~1000 Sq in) but the perfect size for my girls. It took me a minute to understand where some of the screws on the back were placed, as the instructions only show the front view, but after that it became super quick and easy to put together. The big reason I picked this cage was the acrylic divider in the middle to stop the gerbils from burrying and hiding there food bowl, wheel and water bottle under their bedding, and it's doing a very good job. An added plus is the clasp on the cage, it brings peace of mind. The cage arrived before the expected date which is a plus.I only have two problems with this cage. There and small gaps in the space between the bottom that pulls out and the wall on both sides. It's secure enough and the gaps and small enough that they wouldn't be able to get out, but I do worry they'll chew on it.One of the platforms also came with the wood split, but luckily I didn't end up using most of the platforms anyways.Overall, this is a great cage! Another of space, easiest large cage to clean, and my girls love it! I'm very happy with this order^^
