I had the 2-channel (ch) Redtiger, but decided I wanted the added benefit of the 3-ch (with its interior view). Incredibly easy to install...it perfectly fit the existing 2-ch mounting bracket, so I didn't have to run the wiring again. The existing plugs for the front & rear cameras snapped right into the 3-ch body = life is GOOD! I bought the 128gb SSD - it records for 11.5 hours before looping which is more than enough. I ran into a problem; the video screen would go BLACK after one minute and I had a hard time figuring that out. Cycling through every single one of the features, I found "SCREEN SAVER" and it was set on 1 minute, then blanked the screen. I reset that to "OFF" and that problem went away. I'm very impressed with the quality of recording and the view screens. You can cycle through them for the view you want displayed - front, back, or interior or ALL. Overall - an EXCELLENT choice and I'm very happy with it. My highest recommendation = Buy With Confidence. John

I have had this camera since August 2024 and it randomly turns off. I have reached out to customer support and they were no help. They just say to “reset” or format the camera which I have several times and it still turns off. Other than that it’s a good camera.Update: REDTIGER reached out to see how they can make things better! They sent me a new camera and it has been working amazing! I’m guessing I received a faulty one at first but the camera is definitely working better!

This works perfect, I was recently in an accident where the person pulled out and swiped the side of my car. The insurance denied my claim since it was a he said she said situation. Now I don’t have worry about this happening again.

Overall, the dashcam is good. It has 3 channels that records, front, back, and inside of the vehicle for a great price. You are able to download the recordings directly to your phone. Although you would need to turn on the wifi everytime you want to download. Techsupport are very responsive!Cons:Unable to just only view 2 channels on the screen. I just want to see the front and back camera on the screen, while also recording the inside. You are stuck with all 3, unless you turn off the passengers camera.While all 3 channels being shown on the screen, the main screen takes half of the screen, but it does not show the porportional. The view is cutoff (see picture. very left screen), but it still records the whole angle if you watch the recordings.This con is for all new dashcams. You will need to install them on the windshield on the passenger side. I happened to have a universal dashcam that mounts on the rear view mirror that I used for my old dashcam. I was able to find adapter that came with the mount and mount this dashcam.

Can't really find any faults with this camera.Its worth way more than the price. I've never had anything much less a dashcam so easily connect to WiFi in the app it took all of 30 seconds! Very user friendly, everything easily assesible. Won't buy another brand

This camera is very easy to install and use. The video quality is excellent. I added the hardwire harness, which is a separate purchase, to be able to use the parking security mode. This is a great feature that activates if your car is hit or broken into.I give it 4 stars because the camera stopped working after I tried to replace the supplied 64gb card with a 256gb. The camera would turn on, and all the menu buttons functioned, but when formatting the SD card, it kept saying the card could not be formatted. Without formatting or recognizing the card the camera while not record. I contacted customer support, and they sent me a Redtiger 256GB card to replace the 64gb. That did not work. I contacted them and they shipped me an entire new system. I received it today, and the replacement camera now recognizes the 256gb card, and is working fine. I only needed the main camera, because the original wiring is already installed through my cars body trim, with the rear camera mounted. They advised just to put the bad camera in the new box with all the new wiring and send it back that way; no need to return original wiring.Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality and ease of function of the R17. (It's rare to have problems with electronics, but it does happen. I just drew a bad one this time.) As far as support, it was excellent. Each step, the SD card replacement, and then the camera replacement, were very quick. Two-day shipping for each event.This camera is one of the top rated for its price and I highly recommend this system for those who want the security of a 360° video eyewitness.
