My first impressions are very good.It's good quality and easy to use, i've been making some 18650 batteries power banks and the spot welder delivers consistent power output and the welds are secure.

Let me preface this by saying I’m not a DIY expert, nor did I know what a spot welder is until I started fixing my son’s e-bike. The battery wasn’t lasting very long and so after watching a few videos I discovered I could create my own battery pack using a spot welder, so I bought this one.It’s nice and compact and chargers fairly quickly which is great not having to worry about cables running outside! The welder does a great job welding (again I’m no expert) from what I can tell.As someone whose just starting out I really can’t complain at this price point so happy to recommend!

I'm building a model train layout and found this welder ideal for welding the metal strip supplied to the tracks to allow power supply wires to be soldered to them. Where soldering won't stick or lack of space this welder has been used to great effect. to weld to a good strength I only need to use gear 2. being so compact it's easy to move about as it's so small. Well worth it's value

For Size and Price it is a good unit. I bought this to build my own ebike battery, I used 21700 Samsung cells.After buying a fake ebike battery from AliExpress I decided to build my own.It has a built in rechargeable battery comes with "C" type charging cable. The battery must be quite small as I found I was having to give it a charge more often , saying that it does charge fairly quickly.Note this will only spot weld on Max setting with Max 0.1 nickel strip ( you a small length in the box), anything bigger and it does spot weld very well. My battery encloser came with thicker nickel strip and it pulled off quite easily.After a while the probes and leads do get hot.Be nice if a stand was included as i found the unit kept falling over while trying to weld,Very happy with it , if you only want to build your own ebike battery . has done the job

It was received in good condition and well-packed. I used it to spotweld the AAA-size batteries for my RC cars and it worked very well. The only downside was the welding tips were a little clumsy and not a good quality because after every few welds I had to clean the tips. Hence I replaced them with other high-quality tips and then it worked very well. I would still give it 5 start because I consider this not just a good price item but safe and very well made for novices.

Unit works well for the most part, but was unable to weld 0.2mm nickel string reliably.

I bought this after suffering from failed cells in several power tool batteries. After practising on a few dead cells, the task was completed without issue. I must agree with other reviewers that keeping the welding tips clean is important, but excepting this I can only wish these things had been available years ago.
