Perfect for camping alone
This thing is amazing. Big enough for me, and a dry bag. Not for hiking, but camping alone it works well.

Convenient, sturdy in a wind. Strong-rain-safe w/rainfly.
No it isn't horse proof! I think one horse thought it was a couple of hay bales beside one another ....... but I scared them off. That was fun! This thing is great! After a quick fold-up I started out storing it behind the passenger seat but couldn't easily reach though to the back seat well. I optioned later to store it above some added cargo straps that I draped across the front and back sets of entrance handles, sometimes provided in cars, that will fold down to aid a person entering the vehicle. So barely enough room for the top of my head and forget the interior ceiling light, really unneeded as I have front map lights that are brighter anyway. Get the rainfly, it can be quickly placed in a strong rain if needed and then secured better once back inside the tent. When I want to entertain a breeze, I keep it folded inside should a strong rain sneak up later and wake me after a peaceful driftin' off. The storage case is nice now that it is home, but seldom used it on the road. Being separated from the somtimes wet/insect-filled ground is great but after arriving in cooler climates I debated on just what I could use as extra needed insulation below me, as the provided foam pad insert works well for stability but does little to keep out the cold. As an extra foam pad just seemed to defeat the portablilty issue, I decided on just an extra regular sleeping bag. The current small "down" bag I was using would insulate fine from the top as it would stay fluffy, but as my weight would compress the "down" below me I found it did little to keep me warm from underneath, but was exceptional to team-up with the new one as an insert. I have yet to try the giant "down" bag that was later given to me by my older brother, as I proceeded along my journey. I should mention the screening is great, I doubt the almost microscopic "No-Seeums" could even pose a problem. Also I got the more expensive version with aluminum stucture which I would strongly advise from the standpoint of less weight and freedom from possible corrosion. I even bought some pvc pipe and cheap bungee cords and made a sort of canopy using the rainfly and its zipper-open entrance.[...]

Buy it! Just buy it!!!
Awesome! I use this for JRTC for military training. Y’all Military people know what I am talking. An open Bay Area of WW1 design of a Barack’s with no enterior of Wall or protection. This baby protected me from the beast and wild life of huge bugs that can pick up any human for a nice meal or snack. I was saved by this amazing portable tent cot. People would wake up with a spider about to bite there living face off. Me? No not me Victoria because I was protected by not just one layer but two with a revolutionary think breathable knitting that protects me from the fury of evil insects. One dude did get bitten by a spider, recluse spider. He had a big huge filthy disgusting mountain St. Helens in his leg. It looked almost like a volcano ready to purge the hell out of his body. This tent? Yeah protected from such. No snake to crawl in your sleeping bag because your on the ground. This sets up high enough so your not surprised by a pool of water with a stick in your mouth trying to breath. But dear reviewer it’s so expansive! Shut up Tammy, it’s not that expansive! It’s a stinking cot tent! Where are you gonna get a cot tent Tammy? Walmart? Jcpenny? No Tammy only here on Amazon. Also if you get amazon prime free shipping! That’s what I am talking about! Just ignore the price. It was actually a bday gift for me. Trust me I had all of my battle buddies completely jealous of me while I absorbed their negative energy like a vampire. Relishing at their down fall of not making decisions in their future lives. One said, next time your bringing a house? No Jim, my house is this tent? Gonna be alive tomorrow since you are sleeping out in the elements with no protection? Hopefully that huge fat mosquito doesn’t pick your rear end up and take you to his little family to dine on you? Hopefully your not O+. That concludes my review. Just buy it. You don’t need it? Still buy it!

Great for Military Training!
This sets up easy & tears down in seconds. Much more comfortable to sleep in than on in vehicles while at annual military training! The tent allows for ample space & is stable while sleeping. I did not experience rain while using it so cannot comment on its ability to be waterproof.
