Apple Watch Ultra [GPS + Cellular 49mm] Titanium Case with Green Alpine Loop, Medium (Renewed)

Ok this Apple Watch Ultra - Renewed was delivered about 48 hours after I ordered it. So after using this for 2 days I consider this an above-average purchase…so far.The watch itself was unblemished and unscratched, and blanked just like a new watch would be. The battery was DEAD so I put it on charge, and left it on charge for a full 24 hours before even attempting to connect it. After the 24 hour charge it was 83% charged. Pairing, connecting to iPhone and cellular were pretty straightforward and successful. I then charged it to 100% and updated to watchOS 11.4 before using it.Yes, it comes with an aftermarket charger but it works. Yes, it comes with an aftermarket ocean watchband, but I was surprised how comfortable the ocean band felt, so I’m good there. Small sacrifices for saving about $200 off the cost of a new Ultra or Ultra 2.Battery Health was listed as 78%. Would I have liked it higher? Of course, but then again, saved $200 yada yada.Pretty good deal in my opinion if you’re on a budget. In my case I got a better watch for about the same price as a new Series 10.

I really wanted to give it 4 stars because of the garbage charger that it comes with and cuz it takes forever to turn on because it’s completely dead and also need quite some time to get it updated along with my iPhone to the latest firmware. But after all of that crazy crap and with the help of my series 7 charger, once everything was setup (took me about 2-4 hours I lost track) and it works properly, this refirb Apple Watch Ultra 1 is a fantastic, reliable and still very timeless. Everything still works, it’s still very quick and snappy and mine came with 100% on its battery health which is great and pretty hard to find. I was skeptical about buying it but thankfully all the other reviews are spot on, just remember to get a screen protector (or a case if you want) and an authentic Apple charger with the USB-C pin for the best/fastest charging speed.

I purchased a Renewed Ultra with condition listed as ‘New’ under the assumption that it was going to be a halfway decent product so as not to run with my expectations too high. What I received was better in some ways and worse in others. One of the mains reasons I wanted to try an Apple Ultra watch is that I was tired of my SE always needing to be charged every day and seemingly takes scratches like a glass house. But I wasn’t necessarily looking forward to paying for a new Ultra 2 knowing that there isn’t a huge difference in battery life between the two. When I received this watch I was fine with the handful of minor nick’s and scratches that could barely be seen from a regular distance. The screen works and looks great and I’m still not sure if the crown is a little worn or it’s simply like this on the Ultras, but compression action feels odd compared to my SE. Everything else seems to work fine. But then I discovered that the battery life was measuring at 90%. So, now I’m unsure if I want to live with it or return it and shell out almost twice the cost for a new model. I’ll give it a few more hours of wear and see.

My Apple 6 watch battery was dying so I needed to decide to either get it serviced or upgrade. Figuring that the 6 would become obsolete in a year or two, and that pricing on these products may increase in the near term, I went for the upgrade. The extra battery life on the Ultra is a game changer because after wearing it all day I can leave it on to track my sleep at night as well. In the morning I charge it for a couple hours, using my old watch during that time.

Certainly as a refurb I knew I was rolling the dice after reading reviews. Thankfully, my watch arrived in near mint condition and had 88% battery life which should be fine for a long time. My ocean band arrived in the correct color and was a genuine apple band. Not sure on the charger, haven't used it as I already have several apple chargers which worked perfectly with the ultra. This thing is a beast, what a game changer!

I love the watch and so far so good! The watch arrived looking just as good as a brand new one straight from Apple (different packaging) and I couldn’t be more pleased. I was skeptical of buying something refurbished but did not want to pay almost $900 for a “brand new one”.I’m one week in and definitely will consider buying refurbished items in the future. I read a ton of reviews before I pulled the trigger and bought, but I am glad I went through with the purchase!!

Item arrived on-time and in great physical shape. The screen itself was free of any scratches or scuffs. The battery does take way longer to fully charge but I can get 72hrs of daily use from a single charge so I guess that’s something. I mainly use my watch for Sleep Tracking Analysis, Heart Rate Monitoring etc. Watch did look a little bit too big for me but it has since grown on me, plus I can much easily read the screen without my glasses. Overall I am enjoying the Apple Watch Ultra and I can finally try out some new watch faces. FYI- I upgraded from an Apple Watch Series 5.

The watch works well. It came with a few scratches unfortunately but not on the screen itself. The battery life is currently at 92% which is quite a bit lower than most reviewers which have stated theirs have been above 95% so I suppose I'm a little bummed out about that as well. The biggest issue I've had is the charger. Do yourself a favor and buy a different charger because this one overheats the watch and doesn't allow for full charging. The image I've included shows what the watch would detect throughout the charging cycle while using the charger it came with. I immediately purchased another charger and now the watch never overheats and also charges fully.
