For the love of cats!
We had to do some fortifications for our situation/setup but our cats love it. They were not keep about the rope bridge so we made that solid and they are big cats so we had to lower a shelf so the could jump without hitting the shelf right above their head. But again they love it! You can modify if you need but the base structure it good.

Cats Love There Outside Retreat
Bought this for our cats, they absolutely love it They sit in front of the window staring until we open it. They love going outside and I love that fact they can do so safely.

Safe for our cats to go outside
Our cats love being outside. It looks great. The wood isn’t the sturdiest but it works. We bought two different houses and put them together so there’s plenty of room for our 4 babies to venture outside. It seems to safe. We’re happy with the purchase. (We bought material to make the floor sit off of the ground along with the green fake grass)

Has issues
I installed it in my screened in carport. The unit was very complicated to put together. For an outdoor use item it was a little flimsy for the price (the wood used is very thin). I ended up having to reenforce the panel connections. It's been in the screen room for a little over a year and the wood is cracking and falling apart. Cats love it but the human will have to do maintenance.

So far so great!
Got this catio on sale for $350, and certainly worth the money. It came in 3 different large packages but was honestly pretty easy to set up. When taking out all the pieces, I recommend doing it outside bc whatever stain or chemical treatment is on the wood STINKS. Definitely dissipated once outside. We put the catio on the side of our house between the house and fence, and needed a way to connect it to the nearest window so we had to build our own small connecter - honestly building our own part was so much harder than putting together the massive catio (to think we originally had plans to build a whole catio ourselves!). The wood is light and soft, but seems sturdy. The only thing that we got confused about were the sets of ramp/platform/bridges. Turns out there's one set that gets attached to the front of catio (shown here), and there's another set (of I think just platforms and bridge in the middle) that is supposed to go on the back side of whatever you have this structure up against. This was not immediately evident in the instruction photos. We elected not to put this up (yet?) since we'd have to drill more into our brick home. Overall very happy and I think our cats are too! :)

Beautifully made!
I never write reviews, but was inspired to write this one by the high quality of the product. The catio is very attractive, an ideal size, and my 2 cats absolutely love it. It was packaged very well and everything came in 100% intact. When I opened the box, I noticed a strong smell but quickly realized it was the pleasant smell of cedar not chemicals. The metal screens are expertly cut and tacked down -- I didn't notice a single sharp edge that would snag a cat or human. The full catio took quite a while to assemble, but the instructions were very good, all the screw holes were perfectly aligned, nothing was missing, and they even provided some extra screws, etc. My husband did most of the assembly on his own, and only needed my help for some of the final stages. We've had it about a month now, and it seems fine out in our rainy weather. The only mild criticism I can offer is that the hanging bridges are not something that I think any cat would use. Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied. It looks surprisingly nice and my cats go outside the minute I open their window access in the morning. They like the various platforms, but also spend a fair bit of time on ground level. (We put ours on top of cedar wood chips, not a hard surface.)

Good product for the price
We have 10 indoor cats and we purchased this enclosure to allow them the freedom to enjoy some fresh air, morning sun, and outdoor stimulation, without the dangers from predators and other outdoor hazards. Two of our cats have decided to spend most of their day in the enclosure, while the rest of them are in and out throughout the day. All but one decided to explore their new enclosure on day one, only one cat needed a week or two to get comfortable with it.As for the product itself, the wood is a cheaper, lightweight wood and the roof is made of a clear corrugated plastic. The hardware cloth is not coated like the material we would typically use for outdoor enclosures, and is more susceptible to rust. For these reasons, we decided to set up the enclosure on our covered porch because we did not think it would hold up very long out in the elements. We were also hesitant to screw into our brick to attach the enclosure as indicated in the instructions, so we made a few modifications. We used some scrap wood to make one long wooden piece across the top back of the enclosure. This provided more structure and strength between the two boxes which tended to sag inward. We used two more long wooden strips that extended vertically from the concrete floor to the top of our porch on either side of the enclosure. This allowed us to screw into the wood trim on our porch rather than to brick. We screwed the sides of the enclosure into these strips to secure the enclosure to the side of the house. We used wooden shims at the bottom to hold the strips in place, and more shims under the front panels to keep them from sliding around. Rather than nail the roof on, we attached it with Velcro so that it would be easier to remove if we needed to clean or replace it. Again not wanting to screw into the brick, we made the two shelves that were supposed to screw into an exterior wall into a bench that sits on the ground and added a cat bed. We did not use the extra wooded bridge.Overall, we felt like this was a good purchase for what we wanted. The cats are happy with it, so we are happy.
