Exactly what I was looking for. Not seeable at night with out the light clicked on. Alarm is a gradual good volume and easy to adjust time.

It's a bit larger than I thought it would be, but still fine for a normal-sized nightstand. The alarm is a beep-beep-beep sound that is nice for a gentle awakening. If you need music blasting or a sound as loud as a fire engine to wake you, this clock isn't for you. I'm retired, and a quieter sound is just fine! It's very easy to read from across a room with its large face, and the light only comes on when the top bar is pushed - so there's no annoying light to keep you awake at night. I like this clock and am glad I bought it. It arrived quickly and very well packaged.

Ordered "cream" color, and it is more beige than cream. It's ok as it blends in and doesn't distract the recipient. It is silent, and I like the fact that it's easy to disable the alarm with a switch on the back. This is important because the user of this clock doesn't need the alarm function and has issues with mental acuity. I took a star off because I bought the same clock 8 months ago, and it stopped working one day for no apparent reason. Changed batteries twice to no avail. It happens to be a nice clock, and the numbers are very clear, which is paramount in my decision to buy a clock that will likely be replaced in a year. Sad that quality cannot be a priority in manufacturing.

This is the alarm clock to buy. Large numbers, night light, quiet, easy to set alarm, alarm increases intensity each loop, all analog, no digital crap. Old man friendly.

I wanted to love this. Other reviews complain of the size, for me the size is great and the light up feature works great. Easy to see in the dark when needed. The major issue is the second hand makes this rapid fire (I will admit, it is VERY quiet, but there) sound all night long.My other analog clock is still in my room and even being across the room, the original clock is significantly louder, but the sound is a peaceful tick, tock similar to a metronome and I never even noticed it or was bothered by it. This one, with its extremely rapid grind sound, and even though its quieter, it's just unsettling to me.Its also about the cheapest feeling plastic item in hand that I have ever probably purchased. Which wouldn't even be an issue for me if it weren't for the sound. If you don't want a low pitched extremely quick, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, by your ear all now, pass on this one.

The clock is a good value, functions good and looks good.I like the clock because it is run by batteries and there’s no loud ticking sound.The light flashes on and off when the snooze button is pushed. I thought the light stays on but not and that’s ok.The battery cover does not close all the way when the batteries are put in. I wish it could.

Everything else was perfect that could be known in less than 24 hours. Size is perfect and I find it very readable. The front plastic cover came cracked although the packege was undamaged. I cannot return it because of being in a nursing home. I originally bought it for my wife who is in the same nursing home. So I am using it and I am buying another for my wife which I hope is unbroken.

I purchased this clock for a relative who is a senior. She has very poor vision and could not see a wall clock across her room. It is very easy to read with large numbers and clear black & white definition of numbers and minute/hour hands. It is much easier to read than a digital clock since even if a person can't see the numbers, she/he will be able to see the hands and know approximately what time it is. Digital numbers can look alike with blurred vision so this is a great alternative.It is basic with set time, set alarm, turn alarm on/off controls on the back. It is silent which is important for anyone who is bothered by a ticking clock. The biggest negative for me is that the labels on the controls are very hard to read and are small. This probably is not a big issue for 95% of users but for someone with poor vision it requires a magnifying glass or for someone else to do it for them. That's why I gave "easy to use" 4 stars instead of 5.It is large so I wouldn't consider this a travel clock. It's lightweight though so I gave it 3 stars for that category.Clock arrived on time and in good packaging too. FYI it needs a AA battery which is not included.
