Large, digital-roller-combination, traditional "realtor" lockbox
Item description:Brand: SafegoItem B0BCH38V2NDate received: 2023-01-11Headline - Large, digital-roller-combination, traditional "realtor" lock-boxProduct Claims1 ctblack4-digit roller combination, programmableI received exactly what was claimed in the product description as to quantity (1 ct), size (nominal 1.5 inch by 3 inch x 7 inch) and color (black). The case is aluminum and/or zinc, and should be fairly corrosion resistant, the hackle is stainless steel. A rubber chafe pad is bonded to the back of it to protect the surface of what it is attached to.Keep in mind that lock boxes of this type are not the ultimate protection - they can be opened, if by no other method than by destroying the box. But short of a sledge-hammer test (I doubt the cast aluminum or zinc case would be able to resist that), or a large bolt cutter test (I doubt the stainless steel hackle could resist a large bolt cutter), this product delivers an easily programmable, easily accessible locking key box that has an extra large capacity. It will hold not just a single key, but an entire key ring set, or even a reasonably sized garage door opener. The product is not delivered with a user manual, but instead it comes with a QR code (as well as the direct website address) to go to to download the PDF user manual. I went to the website, got the document; the instructions are not complicated so I'm not sure why they didn't just print them, but I guess it saves them a little money. I followed the directions and within 30 seconds I had the combination reprogrammed, set, and the box locked onto a pipe. Easy peasy. However, if I was using this to give a trusted friend an alternate means into my house, I would *NOT* place this in an obvious and visible location, such as on a front door knob - I would elevate the security by latching this to a secure object that is out of plain view. There is no reason to tempt a stranger who might see the box and decide to break it open.

An affordable lockbox for lower security uses.
I acquired this lockbox to use in making homemade escape rooms, and for that purpose it works great. The combination action is smooth and relaible, the interior is spacious, and the shackle is a good size to latch around a doorknob, pole, or pipewith ease. I would use this box for an escape room or low security application any day.As far as a secure lockbox goes, i do believe i would be able to crack it open with a couple of hammer blows. Not many lockboxes can stand up to hard abuse, to be fair, they are really made to keep honest people out, but it is worth noting that i have certainly seen stronger boxes from other brands. But still, a good purchase for the right use.

Sturdy, Easy to Set Combination, Holds several Keys
Needed a way to leave a key for house cleaners that was a little more secure than putting it under the mat. This does the trick. It's fairly heavy duty in both the box and the shackle. Of course it's unlikely to be able to stand up to tools like an angle grinder, or an extended attack with a heavy hammer, but it should resist prying with a screwdriver, or moderate bashing with random objects.Good: Easy to set or reset code. Four digit code not quickly defeated by running through all possible combinations. Large rubber-coated shackle can go around fair-sized pipe or bar (up to 1-1/4" diameter) to secure. Box is big enough to hold several keys if needed. Black color doesn't attract casual notice.Problematic: Does need something sturdy to attach to, like an iron railing (what we use), nearby exterior faucet or pipe, heavy bench, etc. It could go around the shaft of the doorknob if there's enough room, or through the loop of a door pull/handle. At worst, you might have to set a U-bolt into the door, or something nearby.Pictures in the listing show pretty much everything you need to see about it, so I won't eat up any more of Amazon's electrons with another one.

Lock is very loose, could just be busted easy.
So at first glance this seems like a pretty clever product. A combination lock that you can lock something with and keep the long-term keyset in for someone like a trusted person. As far as that goes, it works at least. The extra large size also means you could fold in some paperwork and maybe a few smaller knickknacks along with a set of keys. However, I would strongly recommend against this particular lock. The design is sound, as in it functions more than not at all, but a bit of percussive engineering would be enough to force it open. The major function of this is security theater more than anything, because anyone with a boot or a fist wrapped in a leather belt could smash this open. The walls on it are also particularly flimsy, so you could definitely make your way through it with even a cheap dollar-store hacksaw. Thankfully the latch is rounded so at least that'll make it a bit more resistant to hacking through, if only due to the physical logistics of that.Altogether, I'd recommend this below getting a budget pack of padlocks instead.

Keeps Your Keys Safe and Secure!
I recently purchased the SAFEGO X-Large 4-Digit Key Storage Lox Box for my home and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. This product is perfect for keeping your keys safe and secure, especially for those who are constantly on the go like me. The size of the box is large enough to fit multiple keys and the 4-digit code adds an extra layer of security. The construction of the box is also very durable and it can withstand harsh weather conditions. As a realtor, I can also see how this product would be very useful in keeping keys safe and secure for potential buyers. Overall, I highly recommend the SAFEGO X-Large 4-Digit Key Storage Lox Box for anyone in need of a reliable and secure key storage solution.
