Very simple. Well made. Best option.
First of all, for only using F-style, you need something that'll fit easily and securely around the scroll. These seem so simple and minimalistic, but they're perfect. This leather material is just the right thickness and width for these F-styles, but I'm sure it would be good for anything else such as A's, or Neapolitans, etc. You'd have to use the tie for those but seriously I didn't care, I just needed a few for some F's.I modify my F's tailpieces and add a Gretsch straplock button (I know you really can't see that part from the image I posted). These straps fit perfectly under that and I'm having NO issues with any of these. I typically leave a few on the main instruments I'm practicing on regularly. When I go to clean them up during string changes and do a set-up, they're leaving no marks or showing any signs of harm to the finish. It's just wide enough to not bother my shoulder (I typically like straps for guitars etc to be wide). Mandolins are light so these have just enough "stretch" to them to feel comfortable. That's a reason to want leather too. They have just enough give--like a tiny amount of elasticity leaving you without fatigue if you play for several hours at a time. There is ONE LITTLE thing though that you might want to pay attention to if you only order ONE of them. I noticed they haven't all been of the same consistent "stiffness". I prefer them soft, or to have a worn-in, broken-in feel. Two of them were a bit softer and more broken-in feeling when I got them. Those are way more comfortable. One of them is a little tiny bit more "stiff", very new-leather-feeling. It's still ok, and I have no problem using it. I'll break it in more myself, but I just thought I'd mention that. I figure if you got one and thought it was way too stiff feeling, maybe you could return it for another and get a softer one. You could of course break it in your self, but again just something I thought I'd mention. For people that have had issues THINKING they're way too tiny or short?? You DON'T wear it over your back like a guitar strap. Mandolin straps are traditionally worn high to position the instrument correctly, and you "hook" the strap over the shoulder of your picking hand. So, if you're a right-handed player, you'll hook the strap over your right shoulder. I was surprised to find out that's not commonly known to newer mandolin players.~JSV

Works as expected.
I like having a leather strap for my instruments. This strap has the adjustability that I needed and is perfect for my mandolin. Great value.

Good strap but pin holes too small for output jack pin.
This is a good quality leather strap without any metal buckles or fittings that could scratch the mandolin. It has four pin holes for adjusting the strap length. However, the pin holes are too small to fit over the output jack pin on my Eastman mandolin. You need to get a pin adapter or very carefully try to enlarge the hole for an output jack pin.

Economical and Sturdy
I was fortunate enough to win an acoustic-electric mandolin from Ortega, and it included a strap that didn't work for me. I'm 5'2" and fairly petite with not much in the way of shoulders, and I just couldn't get my strap to work. For the price, I was willing to try this one, and I'm glad I did. This strap comes with no directions whatsoever, but if you don't know how to attach the strap, YouTube has several videos on how to attach a mandolin strap. It fit my A-style mandolin just fine. My end pin is very large and it is not removable, so it was a bit of a challenge to fit the corresponding end of the strap over it. With some patience, we managed to do so because we didn't want to cut the hold in the strap any larger. For most end pins, the holes in this strap should be about right. It just so happens my end pin is larger than most. The other end of the strap attached very easily under the neck of my mandolin and tied securely. I would have liked the tie to be slightly longer, but I've had no issues with the security of my instrument while I play. I've got the strap attached to be as tight as possible, and it's just about right for my frame. All the rest have been too large to hold my mandolin securely against me. I can see how this strap might be too short for taller, wider men and women. The strap seems very good quality. The material is quite durable, and it looks as though it will hold up to the test of time. I find it comfortable to wear. I would purchase this again. For the price and it's ability to fit my smaller frame, I don't think I can beat it. Recommend.

Good and stylish
Not much to say except it's nice quality, it works and it looks good.

Good strap
I wanted a strap that's a little wider for more comfort on the shoulder. This one fits that requirement and it's pretty sturdy as well. I agree with other reviewers that the shoe string-type cord for tying it to the headstock should be replaced with something better, maybe a leather cord or something. The one that comes with it is kind of stiff and doesn't tie in a knot well without looking like something done by a toddler trying to tie his shoes for the first time. But replacing it is a simple matter so I'm still happy with this strap.

Easy to Install. All you need is common sense.
Excellent Mandolin strap. Nice, good leather. Oh and it is easy to install. You just need common sense and average IQ to figure it out. So take a deep breath and follow my lead. The string at one end of the strap is what you use to attach that end around the headstock by tying a knot under the strings (right where the truss cover is); the other end, the holed part goes to where the strap lugs are. I provided a photo of where exactly you need to tie the string. Give it a good tight knot. Do not cut any excess string. Instead, tie the excess like a braid, OR you can just leave the excess hanging and look really cool. Highly recommended for mandolins.

Short - Best for Bill Monroe over the shoulder
First, I have 2 of these. I am a big guy and I find them a little short. They work well if I use the strap over my right shoulder Bill Monroe style. If I put my head through the strap, the mandolin sits too high for me. I use a longer strap for my F-style and lengthen this one with a rawhide lace for my A-style
