Swoon!
I loved Ledger’s and Asher’s story. So much tentativeness and tenderness. Asher’s strength matched Ledger’s powerful persona. First loves finding their way back to each other. I sighed and swooned. So many emotions! Including laughter courtesy of the adorable Tootie. I couldn’t put this one down and can’t wait for Ford’s story.

Going into this book I wasn’t quite sure if I like Ledger or not because of reading about him in the first book of the series. But that quickly changed. I am definitely team Ledger now!Asher and Ledger met over summer when Ledger’s family would visit Cedar Falls. Asher was always the talk of the town because of her mother and not knowing who her father was.Asher is very stubborn and strong character. I think it is because of having to deal with small town gossip about her mom her whole life and she has to but up this front to protect herself.Gosh where to I start with Ledger. He is of course a handsome man but he feels all this pressure being the first born. I feel like his Dad really didn’t do him a solid putting all these goal on Ledgers shoulders. His Dad isn’t my favorite character and you will learn why in this book.I am glad that everything turned out the way it should in the end and I was in tears with what Ledger did for Asher 😭.Can’t wait until the next book comes out to learn more about Ford!!

Just the way I like it, because if I'm not feeling, then I'm not living within the pages....
Five blazing stars!First off, have you seen the front and back cover?! I might be panting a bit here. Sigh. I was hooked with the blurb and cover at first sight. I know what you're thinking. How can someone just fall in love with a cover? I'm raising my hand high, guilty booknerd here. Can you blame me?! I LOVE an alpha man who runs a billion dollar S.I.N. empire and wears a suit! Once I started reading, I knew I had to call out sick from work because I was going to have a huge book hangover once I was done reading. I finished this book in one sitting. It's not like I could of stopped myself. This book completely engulfed me. I was intrigued, mesmerized and glued to it. I particularly felt strongly about Ledger and Asher's characters. I love the push and pull feelings I got when I read. These two characters have always been each other's biggest weakness and greatest strength. Now you get what I'm saying? If you've read Bromberg's books before, then you know the character's chemistry will definitely be off the charts... HOT!I'm not sure if you have a reading checklist. If so, I recommend On One Condition, because it checked off all the boxes for me. Everything linked together so well, especially the writing, characters and storyline. When those three areas are checked off, I know without a doubt I'm in for an amazing and emotional ride. Just the way I like it, because if I'm not feeling, then I'm not living within the pages.

"My freedom no longer felt like it was given"
I bought this book on 6/28/22. And I unfortunately just now read this. But fortunately...I throughly enjoyed it.This wasn't a tear jerker like Last Resort. But I did see a tear in this one. When Ledger said - "need me". When Asher said- "need something to soften the heartache". And lastly- "you'll love me forever". Even though Last Resort is not needed to read this one, I'd highly recommend it. You'll get Callahan's story. Plus some minor details.Ledger and Asher saw one another as they were, not what society sees. And I was super proud of Asher for standing up to the rich "ladies". I liked Maxton (the guys father) in Last Resort and I absolutely loathe him in this one. He treated Asher like trash. Or the gum on his shoe. He really made me want to punch him...for Asher. She deserved so much more. I liked both Ledger and Asher. They really came together. Like chocolate and peanut butter. And Tootie (Ledger's 7 year old neighbor) was an absolute hoot. I liked her immediately and she really made me laugh. I was glad Adele (Asher's grandmother) took Asher in and made her an unofficial daughter. Since Lydia (Asher's mother) didn't.I was glad to hear from Callahan and Sutton (Last Resort). They had a cameo. And so did Ford.I really enjoyed this read. It was full of all things good. The characters really made a statement. And they really came alive. I was entertained and I have one question. Since Asher joined the Mile High club with Ledger. But Ledger said welcome to the Mile High Club. Did that mean he was already a member?

Okay romance, and just okay plot
I liked the main male character. The author seem to have a good idea of what his voice did sound like. I didn’t enjoy the female character however. She was frequently up in her head thinking. And it was all confused thoughts and that’s not enjoyable read. I felt like the writer was telling me a story from a third point view rather than helping me to get involved in the story by showing me it. I found myself skipping whole chapters because I was not that interested in the story..
