Narrow viewing angles for Display
The media could not be loaded. Likes:-- Rather large display, has all the information including day, date and time, in addition to the humidity and temperature information.-- Has an IR sensor that detects proximity and turns on the backlight.-- Syncs with Tuya Smart app via nearby devices mode. I didn't have to leave my 5ghz wifi to pair with the sensor unit. The app allows remote monitoring, historical charts, as well as automation controls.-- The temperature seems accurate out of the box, though the humidity appears to be higher than all my other hygrometer sensors by quite a bit.-- The time and date automatically synchronize once the unit is connected to the Tuya app. No hassle with setting it up.-- This is a plug-in unit with USB cable for continuous power. No battery required.Caveats:-- The display has a pretty poor viewing angle. Anything below straight on would suffer from fading displays. It looks even worse with the backlight on. It restricts the placement a bit to lower than eye level. I find it a bit surprising and unusual for plain monochrome LCD displays of this type. It also semi defeats the purpose of the backlight since it looks worse with it on if you are below the optimum angle-- There is not a lot of settings available on the Tuya app for this unit. The settings menu basically has a temperature unit conversion, and that's it. There is no way to calibrate the meters or anything else.-- There is no way to control the reporting rate. From observation the best I have gotten is about one reading per hour, even though the meter responds to environmental changes quite a bit faster than that. It kind of defeats the purpose of having continuous power connection, as the consumption through higher rate of reporting can be a concern with battery powered units.-- Following the previous point: the slow reporting rate would directly affect the responsiveness of automation and controls, such as setting dehumidifier or AC at certain humidity or temperature levels. Although this slower rate of reporting isn't unique to this wifi unit, but some others I've tried. It may have something to do with Tuya's network availability as well.-- The plastic casing seems a tad cheap, especially with the backlight shining through the case itself at the bottom.-- The lack of any battery option means power outage would instantly shut it down. Though upon restoration it was able to reconnect to the wifi and sync the date and time. However, it does affect placement to a place where you can plug it in.-- There's a note as I open the unit suggesting that the backlight may affect temperature readings due to the heat it generates. So I suppose it's not a great idea to keep the backlight on as it'll probably skew the results.Overall, this unit has fairly good amount of information on display, and fairly accurate temperature readings out of the box. I find the humidity reading a bit on the high side, however, and without any software calibration possible. While with Tuya, there isn't a lot of settings other than temperature unit switching available, but the automation features are still there; although the slow hourly or longer reporting rate plaguing all my Tuya compatible wifi meters (not particular to this unit) seems to introduce a lag to the automation responsiveness. The display oddly has a narrow viewing angle, and you really need to view it directly or above, but not anywhere below else it'll wash out. I find this an inconvenience, especially due to its placement limitations as a wired unit. Nevertheless, a fixed powered unit you will never have to worry about battery life; and when placed below eye level it will work just fine.

Good....as long as it stays above freezing.
I purchased this unit to monitor our chicken coop as the cold Ohio weather sets in. We have heaters that turn on below certain temperatures and we wanted to be able to monitor the coop remotely. The app was easy enough to install and sync up with the device so we installed it in the coop. Note, this is installed 100% out of the rain or snow and has remained completely dry.Unfortunately, the device fails to register any temperatures below 32.1 degrees Fahrenheit and seems to completelystop reading at 8pm (per the app). The past 3 night have been well into the high teens and twenties but the device keeps getting stuck on 32.1 degrees as the low (which clearly isn't correct). Each morning following the below freezing temperatures the thermometer begins reading correctly as it warms up but then bottoms out at 32.1 degrees the next night. We like the device, but this isn't going to work for what we needed so it's going back. Very disappointed.

Tuya Integration is perfect screen is great
We got two different temp sensors to help us control a whole house fan. This is by far the winner. the screen is nice to view manually but also easy to see in the smart settings. Slightly limited by the tuya app in creating if then type commands for a powered device.
