Favorite winter work boots
These rugged boots are comfortable, durable, and worth every penny. I work in a wet/spray environment and I never worry about slipping with the traction on wet floors and snowy lots. They are a little heavy (not a complaint, just a fact) and I always feel steady and supported when hustling for work. I highly recommend these as work boots if you are concerned about traction, comfortable soles, and never worrying about wet feet again.

Good Comfortable Boots
I just received these boots today - so granted my review isn't work tested - - Yet..Upon arrival I immediately opened and tried on the boots. For me the 13D is as perfect fit as I can find, as I have narrow feet -so all manufacturers require some adjusting for my fit. These boot being brand new and not broken in are very, very comfortable. Nice padding on the balls of my feet - great support through the arches, and good padding in the heals.I can't decide if these boots feel so great because they are - -or -- my old boots were so worn out they hurt my feet constantly. Either way I'm a happy "camper" - -I'll report back later regarding the durability***UPDATE***I've worn these boots everyday for 10 to 12 hours - -they did have an initial break-in - however minimal time require. These boots make my feet feel so GOOD - - although they are hot - but it summer so.....I prefer these boot to flipflops or running shoes.

Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe Work Boot
I have owned two pairs of Magnum Stealth Force 6.0 SZ CT. 6" Size Zip, Composite Toe work boots with "Kick Pad" (behind heel reinforcing). Great boots. I decided to change it up with the Carhartt Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe work boot. I am thoroughly pleased.Of the main features the Magnum Stealth Force had that attracted me was the side zip. However, the side zip never really stood out as one of the boots strengths. The side zip is perhaps not as functional as one would expect (i.e. you still need to untie and loosen the laces to remove). The Kick Pad, obviously has its benefits in use. Certainly solid boots, indeed. The Carhartt Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe work boot not only has the "Kick Pad" as represented by a reinforced outer heel, but also incorporates an outer reinforced toe pad. A feature I really like in a set of Wenger hiking boots I own that are not dissimilar to Keens toe reinforcing.Personally, I went with the 13 Wide. I felt that the little extra toe box width would serve me well. I was pleasantly surprised that the wide version did not create a situation where my foot was able to "float" in the boot, which would obviously create issues during strenuous wear situations.Additionally, I had purchased a set of cushioning insoles thinking that the stock ones would not provide enough comfort for my feet in extended wear situations. I was wrong. The stock insoles are nicely cushioned and quite comfortable. I will replace the stock insoles with the new insoles at a later date when it becomes necessary.Overall, very pleased with the construction, durability, look and feel of the Carhartt Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe work boots. I anticipate them being long lasting and will not hesitate to buy another pair in the future.

Disappointed
Searching for a work boot this boot caught my eye specially for a name brand like Carhartt. This boots appearance seemed rough and rugged made of good quality a respectable brand. I figured I would get more value for my money ,but after 4 months of mild work (cause let's be honest I don't work that hard ) these boots let me down coming unglued where the boot meet the soles. Personally I am in disbelief purchased a boot over 150 dollas, a respectable name brand this wouldn't happen boy was I wrong. I am currently weighing my options to trying and get these boots repaired or replaced

Husband's 3rd pair!
Husband's 3rd pair ! Over the years, he has had many boots. He likes the steel toe, the waterproofing, which lasts until the top stitching goes, about 2 years, and the overall look, not too work-y and yet very sturdy. He works in them everyday during the summer/fall months, say 8 months of the year, and wears them on non-work days the rest of the year. When he dresses up, he wears white-soled tennis shoes. Very satisfied customer. And, you can't beat the shipping - ordered one day - delivered the next. Incredible!

Lightest, best work boot I've ever owned
Fits me great right out of the box. This is my second pair. The first pair is still around, just started to get stinky and worn, but they lasted two years of regular indoor, climate controlled factory work (Semiconductor) as well as outdoor street motorcycle riding. They were/are still comfortable, but I use them for garage/outdoor/bad weather use. They seem nearly indestructible. The rubberized toe-cap helps with longevity, I think.Over the years I have owned Doc Martens, Wolverines, Timberland Pro, etc... these Carhartt boots outperformed them all.A great value for a leather Composite Safety Toe work boot.
