These supplements are very good. They are easy to swallow. Fresh, not short dated.

My girlfriend started getting breakouts after we started dating, that she had never gotten before. She did get occasional cold sores, but I heard the outbreaks vary depending on hormonal balance. We thought it was a rash and continued kissing, then I finally decided to do some research and realized it was Cold Sores (Herpes Type 1). I fell into a immediate depression and got a really bad break out in the mouth and 1 cold sore on the top of my lip. I also got really sick on top of this. When I went to the doctor she offered little comfort and wasn't to helpful in my questions, cause I was just terrified of spreading it to other areas (eyes, private). She gave me a prescription drug Acyclovir, which the pharmacist told me doesn't help much. On top of this the doctor refused to issue a second prescription, she said I could get more when I have another break out...(this does not help prevent obviously). I went online and found out about Lysine but originally thought it was a scam at first. The website Herpes Support Network gave me a specific Lysine product to buy and more info about the diseases. The info was great but the product info seemed skewed to the get you to buy it. I decided to buy Lysine from another source that would be independent, I came to Amazon. I read the reviews about the various Lysine products and the weight of the world was lifted off me, finally I had something to take as a preventive drug! Ever since me and my girlfriend started taking this she has had much much milder outbreaks (barely noticeable), and me only 1. I was careless to have mine because I ate chocolate cover nuts, very bad for someone with Herpes because of the high Arginine content found in chocolates/nuts/GELATIN/etc. It is known to cause outbreaks cause the virus thrives off this amino acid Arginine and thats why Lysine is taken because it counters the effects of Arginine in your body. Some people say that Herpes cannot be predicted and you cannot say for sure that something helps fight it, this maybe true. But here is my experience after taking this product.***We Take Lysine Daily, vary between 2-3 Pills during no outbreaks, and 6 during break outs. It is important not to take too much because one so your body can build its own immune system and you don't want to overdose on your body. Do research online to decide the dosage you should take.***Girlfriend After Taking: Her breakouts reduced GREATLY***Me After Taking: Only got one break out, which was 1 in the mouth, and its time was reduced.***I like this because it contains multiple ingredients than just Lysine, I read online that calcium + other stuff with Lysine helps fight Herpes better.***Contains: 100 MG Vitamin C, 29 MG Vitamin C, 1500 L-Lysine, 200 MG Gralic Bulb, 100 MG Echinacea Whole Plant, 25 MG Propolis, 15 MG Licorice Root, Cellulose, vegetable stearine, sodium hydroxycellulose, cellulose coating (HPMC), and natural coatings.***These Pills are also not very large, 500 MG each in size***Also avoid supplement pills or food with gelatin in them or anything else that has Arginine in it, as you would be increasing chances of an outbreak.***********************************************************************UPDATE Nov. 2014***********************************************************************Me and my girlfriends breakouts have stopped greatly. They do periodically show up, if I am sick or get no sleep and stay up all night. Basically this means if you do things that hurt or weaken your immune system (go out in the cold uncovered, not get rest, etc...) there is a chance your breakouts show up again. On the positive side I do not have to take this product anymore and they usually go away within a week. I am hoping it is just the fact that my body has produced enough antibodies to fight the herpes virus off at the specific locations they pop-up at.I have to make something clear, I do not know how much exactly this product helped me (it's not like I did a controlled experiment).Final recommendation, I would say try the product out and see what works for you (what amount of dosage reduces or prevents breakouts). My final dosage before I stopped using it was, 2 during no breakouts, 3-4 during breakouts. This most likely varies person by person.This is still a better option than those ridiculous overpriced medication the doctors prescribe.

1st of all this pill is a little larger than normal (not huge, but like a vitamin). This product is very good for the cost and very easy to swallow. I take one very day to colds, flu, and COVID away and to keep my skin looking healthy (it makes your skin feel sooo smooth) and the quality of the product is so good... It is odorless garlic... I always wanted to take garlic for my cholesterol and heart health, but it was so smelly and comes through your pores, but this is truly odorless. You do have a good feeling of overall health while taking this supplement. This tablet is very functional to take everyday abd and not walk around smelling like garlic 🧄. I take everyday and always keep a supply on hand.

Every year, I would get terrible cold sores directly above my upper lip. This started when I was a child and continued into my early-twenties. To make matters worse, I soon realized that seasonal changes and sexual activity would make them flair up (couldn't even kiss a partner without the fear of getting one, and I was always on-edge every time summer began to loom in the distance). And I'm not talking about just any little cold sore, I mean my upper lip would swell into a mini-balloon of inflammation and crust and I would be left on the verge of tears due to the pain. Could barely eat or drink. This would last for weeks at a time. In fact, I still have some slight scarring above my lip because of it. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to this.About nine years ago, I decided to give this a try. I had zero expectations because I'd already tried so many other things that failed me, including prescribed medications, that I figured this would be yet another disappointment. Even with the vitamins, I still get cold sores inside my mouth from time to time, but they're always very tiny and never last too long. Still bothersome and a little painful, but absolutely nothing compared to what I used to experience.The even greater thing? I rarely get sick with the cold or flu anymore. I used to get sick at least twice a year, like clockwork. Not anymore. *Knocks on wood it stays that way, especially right now* I also take Vitamin D3 supplements daily, which probably help. In my case, I don't think I'm being hyperbolic when I say Super Lysine+ improved my life in a big way.I do have one con: They don't have the best taste and smell. But if you're anything like me, you'll get so used to the taste that it won't even really register after a while. The taste doesn't linger, so it's really not much of a problem at all.Note: They also sell a relatively cheap Super Lysine+ medicated chapstick that I rarely use but still feel better having. If you also get terrible cold sores on your lip, it might be a nice little extra bit of protection. Warning: It's very greasy and will make it look like you applied shiny lipstick/gloss to your lips. If any of you gals and guys are into that kind of thing, just look at it as an added bonus. If you're not, it's still far better than pain.

I think the product is effective; however, the pill size is a bit large, and taking three at once is a lot.

I started taking this over a year ago when it was recommended by a friend when I was starting to get sick. I was surprised how it seemed to kick my cold the to curb rather quickly. Since then I've been trying to take it regularly to keep my immunity boosted. The pills are about the size of a vitamin, so just beware.
