Love this butter dish, bought this very same one as my first one eventually broke. Easy to keep clean, unlike the others

A little pricey, but now I wonder how we did without it. We buy grass-fed, no hormones/no antibiotics butter which usually comes in a cake the size of two "normal" butter sticks. We had a glass single butter stick dish before, so we had to slice the larger butter cakes length-wise to get them to fit the single-stick holder. OK, but a hassle and frequently messy, plus the cover would invariably get butter all over the edges. This double butter dish has a separate interior dish into which you can place an entire two-stick-size cake. The cover fits over the lower dish and does not make contact with this inner dish, so you don't eventually get butter all over the edge of the cover - it stays clean. Plus, if you need to scrape excess butter off your knife, the edge of the inner dish serves this purpose while keeping the cover clean. Only downside: the cover knob could have a more pronounced inward/concave shape to make it less prone to slipping off your finger/thumb when you grab it to remove the cover (I just remember it's potentially slippery when I pull the cover off). Highly recommended if you use full-cake butter.

Love this butter dish! Because I like spreadable butter, I keep mine on the counter. If I forget it on the counter on a hot day, I don't end up with my butter dish in a puddle of melted butter because the sides of the dish are high! Awesome butter dish!

Very heavy dish. I love it. Exactly what I wanted. I love the inner dish that keeps the lid from getting smeared on the sides. If you are concerned about the handle being unsubstantial, put a rubber band on it for extra grip. Highly recommend this item.

I previously had one like this from Ikea that I loved till it cracked. This one had a defective lid that did not fit so I had to return it. Great design and size (in theory) and bottom portion was fine but without a working cover it was not usable. Received full refund without issue.

It looks very nice and the glass is thick.This is the only positive thing I have to say about this butter dish.Due to the heavy weight of the glass you have to get a good gripon the handle or it will slip out of your fingers.I was very disappointed when I tried to put aregular stick of butter purchase from Walmartand had to cut approximately a half inchoff of the end to make it fit. Any reviews thatsay it holds a stick of butter must be buyingshorter sticks. Another negative is the sides of thedish are much to high which makes cutting tabs of buttermore difficult. In a nutshell it’s a good looking butterdish that is not very practical. I ended up getting anotherbutter dish that is much easier to use and holds a full stickof butter.

Very nice, heavy with a “well” for the butter- perfect fit for European butter

This is a sturdy thick heavy attractive butter dish but way too heavy for my taste
