Better than a strap wrench
I work on massive generators with massive canister filters and was tired of my strap wrench slipping so I figured I’d try this. It barely opens up enough to grab some of the Huge CAT and MTU filters but as long as the previous tech didn’t over tighten the F out of it and lube the o ring then this guy takes it right off. A slightly longer handle would make these pliers way better. Just gonna need some decent grip strength to be able to squeeze the big filters tight enough to loosen them.
