I think the textured looking just makes it sillier looking. It’s cute and quite small honestly. Quality is strange idek how I’d go about describing it… it’s soft and squishy.

There are many sellers on Amazon selling the notorious seal blob, and this is the first one (out of three) that I’ve purchased from that actually listed the item with accurate sizing. I purchased the 30cm/12inches size, and it is indeed this size, including the fins. As others have stated, it is tiny. To snuggle with, it would be appropriate for a very small child. I’m a petite adult and have found a use for it- as a small lumbar pillow! Most lumbar pillows are too large or firm for me, forcing my posture into an uncomfortable position. This works perfectly for me, for this purpose! Also adds cheer to my desk. :)IMO the medium size is more snuggle-able as a plush and the large size more closely resembles what’s pictured as a pillow, but my experience with two other sellers is that they vastly exaggerated (lied about) the sizes, so purchase with caution. I’ve not been contacted by or compensated by this vendor; just sharing my experience purchasing the “small seal blob” with this one. All of the vendors are selling knock offs of the original Japanese Fellisimo seal blob, and what you purchase here is NOT going to look like the advertised photos, just FYI.I’m still giving 5 stars because this is the first one I ordered that stated an accurate size, and the price for the small option is lower than other vendors. I do like this. I don't regret buying it. HOWEVER, the sizing is a bit misleading. From the pictures, I was led to believe the 30cm was a circumference, not a length measurement. Ah well. It's on me for not glancing down at the product information! It arrived very harshly vacuum packed and took about five days to fully plump out even with me rolling it around in my hands a lot. The seal is still adorable, with a hilariously judgy little face so I'm happy with it. I am considering getting the biggest option too, because this little guy is just about the right size for a baby compared to the 80cm.

Got myself the biggest one. I sleep with it. It very huggable and super soft. Got a smaller ine for my sisters bday too. She loved it!

This was a fun gift for my wife who joked about being jealous of our daughter’s squishmallow… guess who’s laughing now? She loves this adorable and almost life size seal pillow. So soft and so cuddly, doesn’t get old.Tip: to speed up the re-inflation after unwrapping I ran the pillow in the dryer for a few cycles on low heat, worked a charm.
