PAC C4RAD Car Radio Steering Wheel Control Module SWC Retention

I bought this steering remote adapter for the price point, as some of the competitors cost considerably more. Once I received it, it was fairly easy to add in along with the wiring harness kit for my Suzuki. In my case, the SWC adapter had to have two of the wires spliced in on the car side of the harness. I found that simply twisting the bare wire on each lead allowed me to insert it into the car side connector along with the factory wire, then electrical tape the two together.Once hooked up, the provded web link walked me through the DIP switch settings on the control module for my exact combination of car and stereo brand and model. I did not delve into the custom programming, just straight up recommended settings. All of my steering controls — mute, volume, track/channel select and input mode, work just like they did with the factory radio.For a quick plug and play install, this one gets it right.

it worked on connecting a dual head unit to subaru but they send me the wrong model first and i had to return and replace it with the right part

If you can install your own stereo, this should be a fairly easy install for you, too. My only complaint is that they didn’t know about one of the buttons on my 2011 Nissan Sentra, so the wire it uses wasn’t included in the wiring diagrame. I would love to have utilized it, but Pioneer in their infinite wisdom decided a play/pause button wouldn’t be need in a remote control, so it’s not a big loss. I would have just used it as a mute if it were enabled. 10/10 would recommend.

Instructions are terrible and when I contacted support they directed me to a web link that no longer includes the specific model I purchased. It's still in the box. Hoping I can figure it out bc it would be so nice to use my steering controls again.

I installed it on a 2010 f150 for a boss headunit, at first it was working perfectly, but later started to make false inputs, and not registere when in use. After about 3 months I needed to hold a unassigned button to be able to use the other buttons, worked ok until it just stop responding entirely and flashes red nonstop.

This works exactly as expected with a very easy install very happy with it

the website did not function as suggested. i saw no c4rad model on the site so i had to input another model to get the jumper switches configuration for the vehicle. after installation and setting the car stereo to receive the steering wheel input, it was up and running. no issues thus far
