Q: Can a light be wired to this so I know when its working ?

Yes, you can definitely add a light component if you'd like but there is a white indicator light between the start / stop button that will help indicate if the converter is on.

Q: will it go from 230v 1ph to 460v 3ph?

Thank you for reaching out to us! This unit will go from 230v single phase to 230v three phase. If you have to step up yo 460v three phase, we have a transformer that will step the voltage up for you that will go after the converter. How many amps are you looking to transform?
