SitePro 24-in Colombian Machete with Sheath Silver

Very good steel, not flimsy, tempered well. I did have to sharpen it more for my liking, and did some sanding on the handle to smooth it up a little. I keep it strapped on my 4 wheeler to keep all my trails cleaned up nicely. I've bought cheaper ones in the past, but this one is the best. Great leather sheave also.

I was on the search for a long bladed machete for trailwork/brushclearing, First I got the 28 inch martindale an that was a no go I have posted a review on that one its terrible for the money, Back to this blade came straight, Handle was blocky as expected, With this price range you sand the handle down to your liking, I did that put on some wilson grips, By the way the edge came with pretty much no work done to it, You need a belt sander or you cant use this machete. Clears whole ferns in one swings up to 3 inch thick saplings in one if struck at an angles in combination of being very sharp.

This is not the best machete out there, it doesn't have the best finish, best handle, or best sheath, but it is really good for the price. The metal could be more smooth, and have less visible impurities, but this isn't meant for show, it's for results. The blade is sturydy and sharp and has worked great for hacking branches and brush. The handle could be better quality, but it's the type that can be easily fixed with ductape if needed, but despite looks, it still feels sturdy and has held up so far. The sheath is real leather, and is plain but tough, which is all you really need for a work knife, esspecially the toughness. The price on this is really good too, as there's plenty of others who cost around the same but with not sheath. This is a nice big machete and has held up thus far. Great deal for the price.
