Excellent! Just what I needed to passthrough my GPU over esxi
Running a geforce 1050ti in an HP Gen 8 microserver. had to move the server away from the TV and monitors due to the summer, but I was not able to get the passedthrough GPU on my VM to work as it didnt see a monitor plugged in. (I'm using nvidia shield to remote to my VM and Steam Link as well for some other games).easy to use, just plug and play. (literally).plugged into my GPU, it now sees a fake monitor, and I can remotely play all of my games. best money spent!!!

Good for remote desktop simulation plug and play
My work station at work has 2 4:3 monitors and my home set-up are 2 16:9 wide screen ones. During lockdown, the mismatched aspect ratios of the set-ups made it very inconvenient while working via VNC remotely. These are brilliant. I got them through next day delivery and ventured into work to plug them in. In Windows 10, they are plug and play, and require no drivers. The screen 'resolution' can be set at many arbitrary configurations up to 4K. If the internet is not playing up, I can't really feel the difference between my remote desktop and the native local desktop.

Who knew
I rarely write product reviews and mostly I would have reviewed a great item at 4 stars, because there is always room for improvement. These little gems on the other hand. I've been fighting with issues for years on my headless PCs. Having just bought an Odroid to run Home Assistant/Node-Red/MQTT on I wanted this to be hidden away out of sight. Remote control was a real PITA and frustratingly slow (I'm a GUI kind of man, not a command line junkie). In searching for a fix to the issue, a throwaway comment on a forum about these dummy dongles that fake a monitor being attached led me to these.Anyway, plug them in and now my remote session over NoMachine allows me to set the screen resolution. I set to 1080p, but I have tested all the way up to 3840x2160 and it works a treat. My Odroid is now tucked under a shelf in the spare room with not a monitor in sight :)If you want headlessness and remote sessions to work, then these will do the trick for sure.

Brilliant little gadget
I have a new i9 desktop machine running Windows 10, but no desk space free for another keyboard, a mouse and yet another pair of monitors. So, my solution was to park the new machine in a quiet corner of my home office and drive it from my existing i7 desktop machine using Splashtop. Unfortunately, Splashtop needs to have a monitor plugged in to the host machine, so all I could see over Splashtop was a black screen. I bought two of these headless plugs (DisplayPort), plugged them into the i9, and there we go, I can now remote into my new machine from my old one (with twin monitors, too!). The plugs let you set any screen resolution you want up to their max supported resolution, I set both of them to 1920x1200 to match my existing monitors. No fuss or faffing, just plug them in, set the screen resolution you want, and they just work.

Cures issues with a headless Steam server
Recently fitted a GTX 1650 to my headless PC and wanted to try streaming games to my Steamlink connected tv downstairs. Although the games started i found the game windows displayed "off screen" on a non-existent second window and i could get no further - this seemed to be because the GTX sees no real monitor connected and likely switches off. Anyway, i ordered one of these to fool the card into thinking a monitor was connected and it everything now works flawlessly. Well packed as well in cardboard box with blister moulding inside.

Fantastic device for RealVNC
This is a fantastic little gizmo. Previously I had to leave my DisplayPort monitors on all the time or if not switched on at boot, I could not VNC into my desktop PC as the PC would report no monitors attached.I have plugged this into the last port (HDMI) on my graphics card and bound displays 1 (main DP screen) and 2 (this dummy port) to be mirrored ("Duplicate desktop on 1 and 2"). Display 3 is its own portrait monitor ("Extend desktop to this display"). This way I can VNC in and have display 3 on my remote PC with the monitors switched off.

Simple and effective
Absolutely no complaints. I am running a headless Windows 10 PC (no monitor, mouse or keyboard). This setup typically still requires a monitor to be connected otherwise you get a black screen (no display) when you remote into it.This simple plugin 'tricks' the PC into thinking a monitor is attached so remote desktop using a VNC client works perfectly.

Works well
This device is useful for systems that won't boot unless they detect a monitor connected. I have an older PC based on an Intel Core i7 with integrated graphics that I wanted to repurpose as a server, but I had to keep a monitor connected otherwise it wouldn't boot up. With this dummy monitor plug, it boots fine.It emulates a 1080p display, so unplugging it and connecting a real 1080p display when needed works just fine.
