Cleaner
Works really for cleaning the sap residue off the saw blades and router bits

It is slow working but does work
I have used it on saw blades and it works. I give it 5 stars for a job that looked impossible. If you have a drum thickness sander and the sanding belt is heavily clogged up the rubber block you hold against the spinning head does nothing, fill up a large jar with CMT and drop the roll into the jar. After 24 hours stretch the paper out on the drive way and spray off with a hose. You will still have a few spots that a wire brush will remove easily. I did not invent this. Go to you tube, clean sanding belt, Dan Erliwine, Stewart McDonald.

Excellent for saw blades and CNC bits
Just purchased my third bottle of CMT cleaner. I soak my sawblades in it for a few hours, brush the pitch off the teeth, and wipe dry. I also do the same for all my cnc bits. It works great for my flycutter bit.

Safer than many alternative degreaser/cleaning solvents. Works with a little time and brushing.
This product is capable of dissolving all of the gum and pitch that accumulates on your wood cutting tools. It does require a good soak and light brush to achieve complete dissolution of the gum/pitch but considering the alternative solvents, this one is by far the best I've used. I'd still recommend using gloves when working with this because if you happen to have any cuts or cracks on your hands, the citrus (likely, citric acid) in this cleaner will make them burn. It has a pleasant citrus smell as well and is easy to use. I purchased the gallon size for a couple of reasons. First, the savings (when comparing it to the 16oz. bottle) and second, you can reuse it if you filter it back into the original container. I used some paint strainers to filter the cleaner back into the original container.

So far, does what it advertised to do.
Was skeptical about what this product said it could do.Received the item, followed instructions. And I was happily surprised it did a great job of cleaning up my drum sander adhesive. Now I'll need to reuse the clean roll and see how it holds up back on the drum sander.

works great
I bought this to use in my saw blade cleaming kit and it does a fantastic job. Soak the blades for 10-15 seconds and the pitch buildup is gone, blade looks like new. I also like that it is non-toxic and bio-degradeable. It's not inexpensive, about the cost of a gallon of quality paint, but neither are my saw blades. If you need to clean saw blades or router bits, I recommend this product.

Weak product
I’m a commercial cabinetry and millwork shop. We clean blades sometime two to three times daily. The product we used to use has been discontinued so we tried this product. Not very impressed. Left residue on the blades even after applying the product twice.

Super cleanerRemoves pitch and gum like no other.
I’ve used this CMT product for a decade or so and wouldn’t even try a different product. It softens tight gum and pitch in seconds on cast iron tables, aluminum fences, bandsaw blades and tires, Laguna guide blocks and as a bonus………an excellent cast iron table preservative against corrosion.Takes very little from a spray bottle to clean a lot making it a great value. At the end of the day I simply mist all the cast iron andLeave it alone for a night, week or what ever.Same with molding knives, shaper and router cutters.Terrific Product
