Super easy to install, sturdy, simple, works great, and easy to see at night with the light.
UPDATE 1+ year later 03/28/19:This doorbell still looks brand new over a year later. It has a soft, lovely glow at night, and still is sturdy and works great. Although it is a seemingly small thing, it’s a sleek and stylish (yet classic) look that adds a little something to our front door and porch area. You can’t go wrong with this one!Original review:We had a super-cheap, plastic, plain doorbell that was installed when my house was built 15 years ago. I'm pretty sure the builder went out of his way to get the cheapest thing there was, but it worked, so none of the previous owners replaced it with something a little nicer. Although it was old and discolored these days, I never got around to replacing it until the button literally caved in and crumbled away when someone tried to push it. There are a lot of cheaper options to order doorbells, but be forewarned - the really cheap ones, although they look good at first, are usually just painted plastic. This one is not. Yippee - real metal! It was definitely worth the few extra dollars to get something sturdier than cheesy painted plastic, since I know this will stay looking nice for way longer and won't chip.I am a woman and not especially talented at being handy, but I was able to remove the old one and install this one in a matter of minutes (and that's going super slow), and it worked beautifully from the get-go. It was super easy to wire. I love that it stays softly lit when it gets dark at night, and it's simple, yet tasteful with the rubbed bronze look. The holes didn't match up exactly to where the old ones were, but they were close enough for me to still easily screw it in with a plain ol' screwdriver, and once installed, it looked like it had always been there and goes well with the features of my house. Two thumbs up!

Blue light special 😁
Simple to replace and seems quality. Unscrew old wired unit, replace two wires onto new unit and ta-da! That’s all folks! I wasn’t aware but the light is bright blue. I replaced my old wired doorbell button in less than ten minutes at 9pm in the dark. Easy peasy and straightforward for those who like simplicity. Great value. Looks great. Highly recommend. Will post update if there are any issues with the product.

Good quality, well designed, good value for money
I needed to replace the buzzer switch for my back porch door so I wasn't looking for something elaborate or fancy -- just something that looks "nice" and easy to install. As usual, there are hundreds of options but I decided on this one because of its simple beauty and what looked like well-thought out installation, all of which was proven true when i got the package and installed it.I like how there is no wasted space, just an elegant simplicity. The placement of the holes for the screws is artfully done and the screws themselves perfectly matched to the base. The other big plus of this unit is that it is made of metal, but priced like the cheapo plastic models at this price point, making it a home run in my opinion. The one downside and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that I found the button needs to be pushed too hard to get the bell to ring. I can't see any good reason for a delay, so this is a bit of a mystery design feature.

Quality Doorbell that won't Spy on You
One of the lessons I've learned over the years of buying homes is look at the condition of the doorbell. When I find a place that has the cheap plastic beige doorbells of the past, I know that the owner was probably maxed out with their budget and couldn't afford the preventive maintenance that a home requires over time. If they allowed the doorbell to turn beige, get crusty and fall apart, they probably didn't have pride in their home. The lint filter is probably never changed, and the dryer vent is probably filthy. How much hair is trapped in the sink drain? How much does the toilet wobble? Are there leaks in the roof? Was the previous homeowner even maxing out their 401(k)? The doorbell (along with the mailbox and condition of the sidewalk) are a glimpse into that. There's a strong correlation between having a solid, quality doorbell, and having pride in your home. Would you buy a used car if the first thing you noticed was the door handle was broken or stripped down to the primer? Of course not, because you know that the rest of the car was not maintained. This is one of the finishing touches on a well cared for home. Get yourself a good doorbell. This is a true metal frame with a lead-free surface mount soldered circuit board. No rounded bends and blob solder jobs on the resistors like I've seen in other doorbells. The button mechanism itself is plastic, but utilizes a solid quality plastic that illuminates well at night. It wears well, and won't spy on you. Wiring is easy, and attention to detail with this doorbell is paramount, as all of the screws (the screws used for wiring and the screws used to mount the device) are of the "phillips head" persuasion. You will only need one screwdriver to install this. NOTE: You may need to bring a flathead screwdriver anyway, because your previous cheap doorbell probably had flathead screws to mount it, and phillips to wire it).If you want to show that you love your home to your family, friends, children, God, or potential buyers, please purchase this doorbell. You are silently being judged.
