MTN 94 Spray Paint - RV7016 - Anthracite Grey

Anyone with a Mini Cooper wishing to color match, freshen up their original, worn, scratched Anthracite interior panels...This paint is NOT what your looking for -Let me be fair and first state that; I am NOT criticizing the seller or (MTN) manufacturer. The seller and manufacture MAKE NO CLAIMS that the product will match any other Anthracite paint color. It is THEIR interpretation/formula of "Anthracite". I took a gamble.In (the hopes of) color matching Mini "Anthracite"...After shaking the can for 5 minutes - My trial and observations:_#1 - It is nowhere near a close match to the BMW/MINI Anthracite. Don't waste another minute._#2 - The paint color is a Matte finish = Gunmetal Grey. The listing states (matte) this._#3 - There is NOT ENOUGH BLUE tint to match MINI. However, the black & grey values were dead on for MINI Anthracite._#4 - There is very little to no metal flake/sparkle. It is a true Matte finish._#5 - Clear coating made no difference. The paint color still didn't "pop". The color actually becomes black._#6 - Shipping cost is outrageously expensive.However, as a professional and hobbyist, I have used MTN spray paints for many years. The brand is probably one of the finest rattle can paints on the market.

I have used many brands of spray paint available at hardware stores, but this was my first time using the Montana brand. I have been working on a custom Mac Pro computer modification project (see custom images), and just couldn't find the right shade of gray at the usual stores, so took a quick gander online. Of course, I found what I wanted here on Amazon, and at a reasonable price.This spray paint goes on very evenly - the nozzle provides and even spray at almost any angle. After letting it warm up a little after having spent some time in a cold mail truck, I gave some PCI brackets a couple of sprays. I was pleased to see that this spray paint covers well, and the matte finish has so far proven to be quite durable.IMPORTANT NOTE ON COLORI was looking for a true gray (initially), so it's important to note that this anthracite gray has a slight blue tint to it. In RBG colors (on a color-corrected screen), the color sits around R47-G53-B60 (#2f353c). It would have been helpful to have added this information on the product page, but I actually fell in love with the real color, so no stars taken off in my opinion, but something worth noting for others who may be seeking a true gray.Overall this is a high-quality spray paint that has exceeded my expectations. At around twelve dollars with shipping (at the time of this writing) I don't mind paying a premium for the excellent results achieved. Highly recommended!
