The BEST USB AA/AAA charger
- It's a smart fast charger, means it actually detects how much charge is in each battery. A lot of chargers that claim "auto stop", but it could just in fact rely on a timer. Would take the same time to charge a flat one and a full one, which overcharging is not good.- Just dead easy to use, with coloured light show you how much charge is in each battery.- Detects dying batteries- I've never tried this but it should works like a power bank, USB power output with AA batteriesI had been using it for almost two years, never failed me once. Charge fast, reasonably small, shows you charging progress with LED lights without overly complicated informations.Just beware that if there's less than 1A of USB power (too old cable, too old USB adapter, some USB on computers) it would resort to slow, fixed 13 hours of charging. It shows with flashing green LED lights when it is in this mode.

Compact, individual charge channels & status lights, works well, good value
Purchased this primarily for use in an RV where storage space is limited. Replaced another charger that was bulkier and had a wall wart transformer. A pair of these Panasonic chargers take up about as much space as one of the other chargers plus transformer.Charges relatively quickly when connected to a 2A or greater USB charger. Charging on an older 0.5A USB charger would likely take a lot longer.Individual charge channels are a plus. The charge status lights are adequate for conveying the charge state of the batteries. The power bank feature does work but I need to do additional testing. With 4 fully-charged Eneloop AA batteries (theoretically around 8,000 mah) I was only able to partially charge a cell phone with a 4,000 mah battery. Need to try this again when I can pay more attention to what's going on. Nice feature to have for emergency use.Like an AC-powered Panasonic AA/AAA charger I have, not wild about the way AAA batteries fit at an angle. Seems like they would be prone to falling out if the charger is vertical, but so far they seem to stay in place OK.When we aren't traveling I use it indoors for charging batteries from various devices. All in all, it performs very well . I am very pleased with this charger and purchased an additional one for the RV.

Maybe too smart
The charger is great, but it is too sensitive to the state or condition of the batteries. I have several old batteries that don't perform like new, but they are clean and fully functional. I had problems with all those batteriesI'm not sure why this happens, but old batteries still charge without problems in "less smart" chargers. I would have liked to know this before buying the productIf you have new high quality batteries it is an ideal charger, but if you have old batteries I would not recommend it at allEdit: I had not noticed that my devices were malfunctioning due to too old batteries (for example, in an xbox one controller I was losing signal, I thought it was the bluetooth receiver but in reality it was the batteries)Now makes sense to me that the battery chargers to give those warnings

Works as a power bank
I bought this to use as a "AAA" / "AA" power bank for my devices, and it works! It charges my Samsung S20+ using the AA/AAA batteries connected to it. As a college student in Florida (Really hot weather!), I have it in my small backpack. It's really small, compact, efficient, and light. When it arrived, I was surprised by how small it was, which is certainly a plus for portability. The main benefit to using this instead of a regular power bank is the fact that you can use ANY AA/AAA battery, and it's easy to swap drained batteries with new ones. Most importantly, the eneloop batteries are rated for 10 years, and are temperature-resistant, where they don't drain that much in hot weather. For increased efficiency, the charging speed is considerably slower than my wall charger. However, it can fully charge a dead phone within a day. Perfect for emergencies, such as hurricanes. My current setup consists of:Home storage: 20 AA batteries = 38000mAh (Each Eneloop AA battery is 1900mAh).Backpack: 4 AA batteries inside the charger = 7600mah.My phone's battery is 5000mah.I have 4 AA batteries inside of the charger, in addition to a Google USB-A (for the Panasonic charger) to USB-C (for my phone) cable + charging brick. In total, the capacity is 7600mah at a minimum. It can charge my phone 1.5 times.

Perfect USB NiMH charger
Possibly the best USB charger you can buy for NiMH batteries.Individual charging system, you can charge any number of batteries in any position. The computer senses and adapts itself to charge each battery to the ideal charge level. Charging uses negative delta + temperature sensing for optimal charging.Small case, with sliding cover. Good loking design. Charge port is Micro-USB.The main advantage of this unit is the USB ouput that lets you charge some other USB device from this unit. There's a USB-A output port on this unit, and with fully charged AA batteries, press a button, and it activates the USB output port. You can plug in a regular USB cable into this charger, and then charge another USB device *from this charger*! Basically, you can use this charger as a powerbank! It's a very smart design!

versatile but finicky
the 5V output will charge a phone up half way, won't finish the charge but enough to prove itself useful as a last ditch solution to make a call. Works only when 4AA is installed, not 2AA or any AAA.My sample will charge old (2004 era) Eneloops just fine, thus far rejected two new batches of Eneloops coded 24-03YC. It doesn't seem to charge the batteries all the way full, but otherwise very good. Its lighter than most chargers from Eneloop. Wish there are dust covers on the input and output jacks. Not sure what's all the fuss about USB mini and not USB C, we are the only end of the world that seems to be critical of the USB mini, just about everywhere else is still USB Mini.
