Hi everyone, looking for something i can hook up to a dvd player and allow 8 people to listen to movie played via projector. is this my best option?

Probably not. One XLR in, 8 XLR out, or 2 in four out. If you want one mono in and 8 mono out, or L/R stereo in, to four stereo out.... it’ll work. XLR is mono.

are the xlr ports balanced ?

All inputs and outputs are XLR balanced.

Does it have mute control?

It does not have a "mute" pad or button. You would have to turn the dial down to zero.

This product is verygood one. Which can be used our purpose beautifully, ofcourse, now I can control 4 sets of stereo speakers with induvidul volume control nob. But I do not know why this provision of link? Linking with what? And dont know the purpose of the link. Let me get the responds from the seller/manufactorer etc

Ok product

It’s strictly OK. Not very impressed with isolation - the sound bleeds due to the integrated circuits. While the volume controls help, they aren’t very high quality. Overall, ok if you want to split your signals for monitors. I wouldn’t recommend this for live outs.
