metal accel pump does not come with accel pump return spring overall a great kit used it on a edelbrock 1405 on a 1966 Plymouth sport fury 383 engine be sure to follow the instructions to make the carb really preform well it has to have certain distance for the floats to hang down in the bowls and a certain height they have to be to shut off the needle and seat and also make sure your accelerator pump rod is the proper distance sticking out of the carb to really give it the right amount of accelerator pump travel you bend the rod that goes from the pump rod to the throttle also for default setting i went with 1 1/2 turns so 3 half turns on both idle mixture screws make sure your throttle has full travel with your gas pedal barely crack open your idle set screw for your throttle if you got no gas in it you might have to give it a little from the top first but not too much if everything is right it should turn on without any pumping required in about 10-15 seconds it will have enough gas in the float bowl to idle you adjust your idle set screw and get it to like 750 rpms then do a part wot hit for one blip and you will see how good these edelbrocks can be

Great quality product. Gaskets were strong. The accelerator pump has a steel shaft and quality seal. Don't waste your money on the cheap kits.

It seemed like a quality kit and the gaskets were exact for my 1407, but the accelerator pump failed within about 3 weeks.

This kit feels superior to the Edelbrock kit for 40% less. The accelerator/power pump has a metal arm that feels much better made. The Edelbrock kit does have better tuning info but you can download the same info from their website.

Everything in the kit worked for my 1406 Edelbrock with electric choke. Of course there were small leftover parts like small clips, a screen and a couple of gaskets for another style of carb but it came with the accelerator pump which is why I bought the kit. The needles and seats also worked and came with their own individual screens too.

Edelbrock 1405, 600 cfm, manual choke: I bought a cheap $10-12 kit a year ago. The only hard parts were floats which could never have fit. Some of the gaskets were tight on one side and had to be crushed into place, and a couple could only be made to fit by trimming.Fast forward to last week and I need that carburetor bad. Not trusting the previous kit, I went through it it again with this $41 kit.This kit contained no floats at all, the gaskets were good...only one needed trimming, and it has one float needle/seat assembly (should have 2), and contained the check ball and ball weight for the accelerator pump circuit.The exploded parts sheet was illegible.The adjustment instructions I found to be the best part of the kit...detailing several adjustments I never knew about.There must be millions of this series of carburetor out there...somebody needs to call out the companies that sell kits that are wrong or incomplete.

Just used this kit to finish a refresh on an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor. Used all the bits I needed and there were a couple left over that I assume are for other variants of Edelbrock or Carter carbs.The gaskets were great quality and fit perfect, look almost identical to the original gaskets I removed. And the metal accelerator pump fit great as well.I’ve got another 1405 Edelbrock on my bench that needs to be gone through, so I’ll order another of these kits when that time comes!

I still offer a 5 star rating, have used Allstate many, many times directly. One of the absolute best fuel system parts resources in the country. Will continue to purchase from Allstate. However, I had noticed this particular kit on Amazon, with quick shipping. And, I happened to have a customer emergency. Upon receiving the rebuild kit, I noticed that the package had been opened, and, new parts were missing. Unfortunately, I had to install a good, used, serviceable part, to satisfy my customers urgency. I have NEVER experienced this from Allstate Carburetor.
