Bought these for our national parks trip. I wanted something that would pack into our check-in luggage and we could re-use in our cooler for 2 weeks exploring Yellowstone, Glacier & Grand Tetons. These are high quality plastic bags that hold a good amount of ice. We simply refilled ice each morning at our park resort (free ice machine) and tackled the day. Ice retention depends on the cooler you use (the bag itself is not insulated) but there was zero leakage, kept the items in our cooler cold and dry. As the ice melted, we were able to pour and drink the water out of the built-in spout. Nothing better than returning to your car after a long hike or hot day with ice cold water. I washed with sopa and water, air-dry and store for another use. I expect these lasting for a while. Worth the price.

We have used these on several trips and they work great. A little more work than just throwing ice in your cooler, but the benefits are well worth the extra effort. You keep the moisture inside so your cooler compartment stays dry and have fresh water to drink once the ice melts. I keep them stored in our collapsible cooler to pull out for the next road trip!

These seemed like a great idea but both bags have a hole in them after only two uses. The seller was very responsive and immediately corrected the problem.

Nice product that has been pretty well thought out. The more you use them the more efficient you are in being able to shape them in different configuration in the frozen state aka flat or blocks. We have used them several times for wine outings to keep items cool and some extra hydration as they melt.

I bought these ice bags before a weeklong National Parks trip. Although we weren't going to be camping, I wanted to bring enough food to ensure that we could eat lunches on the trail and cook a few dinners at a picnic spot, without having to pay the high prices for groceries inside the parks. I bought these on a whim after reading the reviews and am super happy with how they worked. During the trip I kept one bag in a Yeti 45 cooler (inside our cabin) and the other bag in a smaller collapsible cooler (inside our car during the day) for drinks. They were incredibly easy to use and worked exactly as described. I changed out the ice in our hard cooler every 24 hours, even though it was usually only about 1/3 melted. The ice in our less insulated collapsible cooler melted completely by the evening, but allowed us to top up our water bottles with ice cold water during the day. The bag did not leak, the close-top handle was easy to use and was strong enough to handle the weight of a bag of ice, and the pour spout worked just fine. I probably filled each bag up about 6-7 times during the trip and the bags didn't split or tear. I am not sure how long something like this will last, but will definitely buy more when my current bags wear out because they work, are convenient, and mean less mess in the cooler. I can only think of 2 small considerations to be aware of if you use these bags: When full, the bags have a sort of rounded shape which made it a little hard to distribute items evenly in the cooler and probably wasted some space; and for smaller hard sided coolers, the handle part was too wide for me to lay the bag in horizontally. I had to lay the bag in vertically, fold the top down and arrange the spout so it wasn't smashed. Not a deal breaker, just something that needed to be worked around. Really fabulous product.

I had planned a stay at an inn that did not have a refrigerator in the room. I wanted to bring some cold drinks, and I knew that I'd also have leftovers to keep cool. Dealing with ice packs or bags of ice is such a pain - the ice packs need to be frozen again, and ice melts and gets everything wet. I was searching for some alternative, and I came across this invention. It's perfect! Not only does it keep the ice in a leak-proof bag, you can use the ice water to drink once it does melt. I filled one up with ice made in my filtered water ice maker, and the other is ice that had been sitting in our back up fridge. So one was more drinkable than the other. The ice stayed ice for a long time - over 24 hours. When we were packing up to leave, I just refilled the bag with the hotel ice - nice and cold again, and I didn't have to worry about freezing (or forgetting) ice packs in the freezer.Now, most hotels do have mini refrigerators now, so this doesn't happen too often, but I also brough the bags to the beach. I don't camp, but they would be awesome for camping. I am going to bring them to Paris with me when I go in the fall since we do not have a room refrigerator.I highly recommend this product.
