Don't waste your money
This is the worst tablet I have ever used. It constantly closes apps being used and is super slow. Don't waste your money.

Great for kids
My niece seems to have liked it until my sister got her old one back

Battery life does not last
It worked well for a few months, but then doesn't hold a charge. It will charge to 100% and then dies quickly. Within 20 min.

It’s a decent tablet, but it overheats too easily and too quickly

Nice eight inch Android table for kids or casual use
The C idea 8 inch Portable Tablet offers a useful feature set which may be just the choice for a tablet for children, or for simple use at home. There are a few issues which I shall describe, but overall this tablet could satisfy many needs. The tablet comes with a charger and charging cord, and a little leaflet of instructions. The instructions are not in the clearest English, and cover only some of the aspects of this tablet.Turning it on, the tablet comes up in landscape mode, which it maintains until setup is complete. Answering the few questions at the beginning brings up a choice for a kid's mode, which may be useful if giving this to a child.Signing in with an existing Android account, it took about 30 minutes to complete the setup process. Most of the apps on the original device were copied over to the tablet, but not all of them. After completing the setup, one can set the screen to auto-adjust for portrait or landscape mode.Checking out the tablet, itself, shows a nominal 8 inch diagonal screen, with resolution of 1280x800 pixels. Across the top is the USB-C connector for charging, a rubber closed socket for a micro-SD card, and a headphone jack. Along the side is a rocker switch for volume and a separate on/off button. Below the button is a pin hole for a reset button. The camera resolution is stated as 5MP, and it appears to be so, with choices for 4x6, and square photos, and video at 4x6. There is a 2x digital zoom setting. The back mounted camera appears to be adequate. The front camera, specified as 2MP, has a yellow cast to the picture. The reset button, said to be a factory reset in the leaflet, is actually a soft reset that does not destroy any settings. One can do a factory reset by going to the selection in the Settings menu. So, I used this for some web surfing and light data keeping, and it worked well. The photo images are not high definition, but adequate for many routine uses. This may be an ideal first tablet for a child, where demands are not high for performance.
