Efficient Power Solution with Minor Quirks
As a CFO who works remotely most of the week, my home office setup needs to be clean, efficient, and reliable. I recently installed this recessed power strip into my desk, and overall, it’s been a strong addition to my workspace, with a few caveats.Pros:Sleek, Space-Saving Design: The recessed installation keeps my desk surface clutter-free. It blends in well and doesn’t interrupt the professional aesthetic of my workspace, which is important when I’m on video calls throughout the day.High-Speed Charging: The 45W USB-C ports are excellent for quickly powering my work phone and tablet without needing separate chargers. It’s convenient to have that level of output built directly into the desk.Good Port Variety: Multiple AC outlets, USB-A, and USB-C make it easy to connect my dual monitors, laptop dock, and phone—all without needing a power strip lying on the floor.Cons:One Finicky Port: One of the USB-C ports occasionally fails to recognize the device or deliver consistent charging. It’s not a deal-breaker, but as someone who relies heavily on reliable power for daily productivity, it’s a bit frustrating.Installation Note: While the install was straightforward, I recommend double-checking your desk thickness and power access before purchasing. It fits most setups, but not all.Bottom Line:This recessed power strip does most of what I need—efficiently and cleanly—with a sleek design that matches the professional tone of my home office. If not for the one finicky USB-C port, it would be a 5-star product. Still, it’s a smart upgrade for anyone managing a high-demand remote workflow like I do.

UPDATED. Half the usb ports are not aligned correctly on the inside.
Picked this one for 45w ports. Half the usb ports aren't even working. One standard plug isnt working as well. Looks like it's misaligned and pushed back on inside. Could see the issue being bouncing around in the box as it doesn't have that well of packaging. I'd choose another brand. UPDATE. Seller reached out and made it right. Haven't tested it yet but the fact they replaced I'll definitely buy from again.

Great product
I installed this in the back of an end table that is between two chairs. It solved all of our charging and lamp receptacle needs. Looks nice and clean.

Directions are just wrong, but anyone installing should measure before
so a little jigsaw work and it went in pretty smooth. So far its been glorious. The fast charging is coming up as super fast on galaxy s** ultra. So that's a new thing, usually just fast charging. I am so happy to have this recessed electrical box on the desktop so i don't have to bend over and plug a new device in now.I would like more clarity on the surge protection function. it has a red reset button on the bottom. All in all this has been a major upgrade for me. I suggest a template for hole cutting. it say cut a 3x6 inch square, and 3x6 is a rectangle. lol. I would imagine to have one installed where i live would be in the $300.00 range for professional outcome. Cable management is cleaning up massively now

Will Not Handle The Advertised 1500W
This is NOT a 1500 watt capable 120V AC device, as advertised. I had my shop vac plugged into it this afternoon - the vac is less than 1500 watts. it ran for 10-12 minutes and then just suddenly died. My first thought was that the vac had overheated, but it worked fine plugged directly into the wall. But the produce I'm reviewing here was dead. The USB outlets still worked - or at least the blue lights were still on. But there was no AC power to that outlet. I didn't test the others, though I did open it up and look inside, in hopes of finding a fuse (no such luck), and it looks like there are two separate power modules in there, each powering three outlets. At any rate, this product does not live up to advertised claims. Unfortunately, I had to order another one, because I cut a hole in the top of a drawer unit I built to accommodate this, and it's the only thing that will fit the hole. But beware - do NOT buy this with the expectation that it's going to work all the way up to the claimed power rating. It's good for light duty applications only.I also thought the soldering and assembly I saw when I looked inside was rather poorly done.
