Lots of Features
One of my favorite props from a show/series. Makes sound effects it will cycle through and projects a mini hologram of a portal beam. Super cool and a great value for how detailed and how many functions it has.

As good as garbage? Not this one, Morty!
As a fan of Rick & Morty, I hadn't kept up with the merchandise all that well, and was surprised when I saw this Funko replica. For the price (currently $12) you get an outstanding, full-sized replica. I'm honestly shocked at this, as I'm used to companies putting out half-assed, inaccurate, and cheaply-made junk to make a quick buck. The art style of Rick & Morty isn't very detailed, but they worked with the detail they had and knocked it out of the park. The portal gun has decent weight, and is pretty faithful to the show. Pressing the dial down makes the tube on top light up, while a static image of a portal is projected, and one of several portal sound effects plays (e.g. normal portal opening, portal closing, portal opening with sounds that seem to be of people/objects moving through.)I was expecting the lenses on the front to be comprised of a single genuine lens, to project the portal image, while the other two would simply be painted, opaque plastic. I was surprised to see all three are the same: Transparent, (almost florescent) green plastic lenses. The other two contain green LEDs that add additional light to the portal image.Speaking of the portal image, it's a little dim, even in the darkness. I could easily see someone opening the portal gun and swapping out the LEDs for super-bright LEDs. This might help the effect some. The dimension display is an inset sticker, but it's not bad looking. Looks like a high-quality vinyl sticker, not a cheap paper one. The display shows dimension C-137. It would've been really nice had this been a translucent piece with a red LED backlighting it.I do wish the power switch (hidden on the bottom) had an additional setting that turned the top light on constantly, rather than it only lighting up when the button was pushed.Immediately after learning about this portal gun, I found out there was an earlier model by a different company that is absolute garbage in comparison. Inaccurate handle, crappy-looking dimension display sticker, with a solid green tube on top with a cheesy, wrap-around sticker for detailing. And the front is flat with no detailing except a small hole for the image projection and the other two "lenses" are simple solid-colored dot stickers! And it's two and a half times the price of this one!If you're trying to decide between the two, don't let the price fool you. This one is cheaper, but far, far more detailed.

With this, you can be the Rickest Rick!
I mean, come-on...this thing is awesome! I showed it to my wife and she commented on how authentic it looks....and she's not a Rick and Morty fan! I looked at all the others and have to say that they are impostors compared to this. They say imitation is flattery? Not in this case. Any other imitation to this thing is an insult! After opening it up, I see that there is plenty of room to make modifications! I plan to replace the C134 decal with an actual LED display (have one in my parts box that is that exact size) and I want to see if I can put a small motor inside it to rotate the projected portal image. And because it's so well made, these kinds of modifications are possible! I mean, the darn thing is held together with 7 screws! Not glue or sonic welded...or popped together...but screws! Who does that anymore?

Way nicer than expected!
My entire family watches Rick and Morty...even our 8 year old son. (Don't judge me.) Anyway, I ordered this portal gun for him because I knew he'd go crazy over it. With a price so low (I paid under $10) I assumed this wouldn't be that great. Well, I was wrong. The gun is solid, the noise is loud but not annoying, and the portal it projects is really bright! You can see it in the light, but in the dark it is great. My son LOVED it, and I'm impressed with the quality. A great purchase.

Great Prop
The sounds and lights are really cool. I like the molded portal fluid as opposed to other props with just a printed sticker. Would have been cool if the universe indicator was digital too, but then it definitely would have been more expensive. The projected portal is a nice touch too. Kinda fuzzy but gets the point across.Great prop to have or gift to any Rick and Morty fan.

Fun Rick and Morty swag. A great gift!
Gave this to my nephew as a present. He has fun randomly creating portals to other universes on flat surfaces such as walls and floors. His dog doesn't seem to grasp the concept. Build quality seems reasonably good. Haven't had any invasive species enter our universe through the portals yet (thank goodness)!
