Easy and Humane
Bought these on recommendation from our daughter who had success trapping mice in her house. My cat brought in a mouse the other day while I was getting ready for work. It disappeared and I could not find it to trap it. After 2 days of searching to no avail, I decided to buy these traps. Received the traps from Amazon the same day I purchased. Easy enough directions to follow but agree with other reviewers that the door it a little difficult to master at first. Once I got the first one open and baited the trap, the other 3 were easy enough. I used peanut butter and started setting the traps in likely spots. Shortly after that, my cat corned the mouse under the couch, so I put the traps on all sides. My cat flushed him into one of the traps within minutes of setting them. I was able to quickly and easily release the mouse back outside! For the money, these traps are invaluable! I would highly recommend them as an easy, effective way to live trap and humanely release. I also agree that cleaning the peanut butter off the holes and grooves presents a challenge. Perhaps next time I will bait with cheese! Don't mice like cheese too?? Thanks to the owners and designers of this product. Well done!

Save Tiny Lives And Protect The Environment
I have been purchasing these traps for sometime. They are great, and over the years I have caught countess mice, which we have released miles away from our house in isolated fields. I have never believed in glue traps, click traps, or poison. These methods are cruel, inhumane, and extremely painful to these poor creatures whose only crime is to try to survive and fill their hungry little bellies. Furthermore, poison is terrible for the environment. We already have plenty of pollutants in our air, soil, and water, to add rat poison, which may be ingested by birds of pray or larger mammals eating the dead mice.Over the years since I started using these traps I have learned some useful tips:- Peanut butter, chocolate and nuts are great bait!- I put some chocolate, nuts or easy to clean bait INSIDE the trap, so that when a mouse gets caught, it has something to eat until I free it.-Once I forgot to check the traps and one mouse died of starvation and the other was extremely weak when I finally remembered to check the traps. Since then,- I set an alarm on my cellphone to check the traps every morning, so that these poor things do not spend unnecessary time trapped.- During very cold or hot days I check traps twice a day, because it is when they are most active wanting to come inside our house- When we are going out for more than a day, I unset all the traps, so that we won't come to find them dead. I rather them be free while we are out on vacation than leaving them to die in the unattended traps.- Each time after releasing them, I thoroughly clean the traps with hot water and soap to rid off the pee or poop scents of the previously captured mice, so that others won't sense the danger, anxiety, panic, or stress left by the previous mice.- Mice are like people, they have different personalities, some do not want to leave the trap, others cannot get away soon enough, and a couple of them were so stressed that had a heart attack and died. In any case, I have learned to park my car far away from the place where I release them, as some of some them refused to be left on the open wild and ran back to my car and jumped into my vehicle, hitching a ride back to my house =)These traps are wonderful and have save countless innocent lives. I am grateful someone invented them!

Worked in one day!!!
Amazing…Caught mouse in one day that had been scurrying around my unfinished 3rd floor for weeks over my bedroom as I slept. I used generic M&Ms per someone else’s post, so it was not messy and totally worked. But I think either the heat from the attic or chocolate might have killed it, so I feel bad and next time will use fruit snacks per another post. Overall VERY easy to use and it worked. Great value and safe for kids and pets. Easy cleanup because the back hatch can be lifted to let the rodent escape or to drop a dead rodent into trash, woods, etc.

Good yet flaws
Got this product was excited since I live in the country farm town of indiana...known for feed corn hay production..my neighbor produces both so his storage barns next door...got these...loved the see thru aspect air holes for the mice...struggled with the bait door at 1st..caught 3 my 1st set up...releasing them was easy...figured out how to open the bait door...when u catch one I recommend turning unit upside down...cut the little farts will hang on to the inside trap door parts making it harder for them to leave the trap...only problem I hv with this is the cleaning of the traps...they will pee poop from the time of capture until release...no way of cleaning the poop out of them...they get stuck under the latch..I guess if u want to soak them over night ok...maybe then that type of issue will loosen and move out...but like myself living out in the country I just want to catch release wash out the unit and reset for the next night...cleaning is a hard thing....but with that said they catch them!
