My kids birthdays are on either side of xmas, so I start shopping early, and buy things as I think of them. Anyway, I ordered this in October, but saved it to Christmas only to find last week that it was missing a piece. Amazon was no help because of how old it was, but I contacted the manufacturer and they were amazing. Missing piece is coming, and the directions are clear and easy for kids to follow.

This was a fun build with my daughter but we ended up with two earth labels and no mars label. I’m not going to request a return because my daughter still had fun and we laughed about double earth.

We got this to help fill their summer days with something that was fun and challenging. They are 13 there was no challenge here they felt like the kit was better suited for younger kids. Over all the assembly was easy if you read the instructions. Needs more colors for the a paint, they are a solar system enthusiast and were disappointed by the selection. But in the end this and another kit kept them busy for 1 day while I was at work. What else could a mom ask for!

We purchased the Astronaut Starter Kit as a birthday gift for a party we were going to. The girl is very curious and this seemed like the perfect gift: it was an an activity she could do, she would learn something from it and be engaged, and she would have something that she could play with and read long afterward.The kit is surprisingly full and very high quality. When she opened it and we all got a chance to have a closer look, we all commented on how well designed and put together it was. So many birthday gifts end up being low quality, one-time things that just end up in the trash. This was completely different!We ran into the girl's mom yesterday and she shared how much her daughter absolutely loved it, and again talked about how high-quality everything is.This is only our second KiwiCo product and both were big hits. I'm going to be checking out the KiwiCo website bc I know they carry a lot more products, and also have a subscription service which could also be a nice gift.

We have done several of the projects and now we are on the rocket launcher part. We are missing parts to compete this. Instead of being able to request the missing parts, I have to ship the whole thing back. There is no one for me to ask if that means shipping back what we have already competed or just what is incomplete. Very frustrating. Don’t waste your money.
