Great Tool
The more cordless tools I use, the more i wonder how i managed before. The blade capacity is only 6 1/2", but for most cuts, that's fine. Wish it came with a case, but the price was right.

LEFT HAND SAW
This is a LEFT HAND SAW. No where stated in the description. I have never seen a left hand saw. When held in your right hand, the main support side of the saw is on the drop section: the piece of wood that falls to the ground.Probably a great saw, but really only for lefties.

Marita 61/2” 18v bare tool saw is AOK
This is a solid 18 V Battery saw. I left my original on the Island I was living on along with my other Mikita 18 VDrills. I’ve missed them every day since. I wasn’t sure whether to buy a new set of drills & saw or just get a bare saw. I kept 2 drills& sawzall here at home so with only 2 batteries now it’s time for that decision. This saw worked great out of box, & was true, & 90 degrees to base. The price came down to a point where I said that’s it.

Couldn't even tell it is refurbished.
Looks and works like new. I love the saw. My new favorite tool.I don't know how I was living with the corded one previously :)I've done much framing with it and it is so convenient when you are framing a roof not to have cords.

(Refurbished) Makita XSS02Z-R 18V Cordless LXT 6-1/2 in. Circular Saw. Great!
I am just A DIY guy and have used Makita mains power saws for years. I purchased this (my first) battery saw with some skepticism. I had a project to replace rotted sections in my 1-1/2 inch x 10 inch oregon facia boards. I had to do this on a ladder 25 feet off the ground and make vertical scarf cuts for the join. The power saw was just too heavy and awkward.I love the lightness of this saw. It came with a 16T blade and the cuts with this blade were the best, very smooth and accurate, even with this blade! The saw was easy to keep in line, and view your line, even from my precarious position. The carbide tips even survived a few nails the I had missed seeing or misjudged their position. I even used it to cut the mitres in the 1" quad trimming that I had to replace. It was a better cut than using a mitre box and hand saw!I have been using the saw for over 2 months now and love it. I have not used my mains power saw since.I use a couple of Makita 2 amp hour batteries (out of my battery drill) and an aftermarket 5 amp hour.I am happy with the number number of cuts I get out of the 2 amp hour batteries but i think the 5 amp hour aftermarket one is a con as it does not last anywhere near two & half times the life of the 2 amp hour ( or my understanding of battery technology in naive).
