I'm always hesitant to try new hair products because I have a bad habit of thinking that what I currently have couldn't possibly get any better. Boy was I wrong. This stuff is so lightweight and it smells SOOOOOO good. It's super moisturizing and helps my hair with frizz, which I have a big problem with. I'm more on the wavy/curly side of the curly hair spectrum and this has helped with clumping and definition a lot. Although it is pricey, it is so worth every penny.

I loooovvveeeee this product, I only use once a month and it really detoxify my hair. I can feel the difference and how squeaky clean it feels after using it.

I go 4-6 days between hair washes, so I need to get my scalp really clean when I do wash. At the same time I want the formula to be gentle and non-stripping for my delicate hair.This shampoo checks all the boxes! I didn’t even have to shampoo twice, as I usually do. After one shampoo my hair was super soft and shiny with bounce, and my scalp was very smooth and clean. My hair still had moisture and my scalp wasn’t dried out, plus it smelled nice! I went days before needing dry shampoo on the top of my scalp, and only because I worked out.It also styled nicely but the one drawback was some static from the middle to the end of my hair (it’s about 20” long), but all I had to do was rub in a very small amount of hair oil, and the problem was solved for the day. Once I was on day 3 hair and beyond, the static was completely gone. I live in a very dry and cold winter climate so I assume once the weather warms a little the static won’t be an issue.I had been sad because it looks like the Amika clarifier is getting harder and harder to find, which was my favorite. Honestly the Curlsmith works better and leaves more shine, while doing as good a job as the Amika at leaving a little moisture in the strands! I love happy endings! 💖

My scalp was always itchy, I thought I was shampooing too often (which I was) but fixing that didn't fix the problem, the problem ended up being that I did have dandruff or something similar, and because I wasn't clarifying I had build up and what not (I know, rookie move) I thought because my hair care routine was very low maintenance and I didn't use stylers, that my hair didn't need clarifying. But on this wavy hair journey, I learned that isn't true. Build up from the water we use to shower is enough over time to make problems for your hair, scalp and skin. So I got this and after the first use my scalp felt like it could breathe again, my scalp felt cleaner than ever. I now use it once or twice a month and follow up with a deep moisturizing treatment as directed. It can feel like you didn't use enough, which can lead to using way too much of it, so just be aware of that. I am still figuring out how and what to do with my wavy hair (that I thought was straight until learning that most people have some level of wavy-curly hair, and that truly straight hair isn't as common as we all think) Curlsmith products have helped me a lot in figuring out what my hair needs. Also quick tip, go to Marshalls and TJ Maxx, they frequently have Curlsmith, Amika and other awesome brands for cheap, I have even found sample sizes for dirt cheap that allowed me to try these more pricey brands without committing to the full sized products and price tags.

This detox worked so well and left my hair feeling healthy and fresh! I also liked the smell. A little expensive for the amount you get

This product is definitely an 'exfoliating' shampoo - my hair was completely stripped of all silky feeling after using it. I was a bit freaked out at first but then after a conditioning hair mask, my hair was back to its normal texture, and was a bit bouncier and fluffier than before using.I would not use this shampoo very often, but it is good once in a while to really give the ol' scalp and roots a deep cleaning. It is very concentrated, a little goes a long way.

Doesn’t work great on its own. The directions on the bottle say you need to use Curlsmith Super Slip Pre-Wash Primer without rinsing and then apply this product. Amazon does not currently sell the other product so if you’d want to use it to it’s full potential you’d have to buy the additional pre wash elsewhere. Can be used on its own but I would not recommend more than once a week.
