The Best Amp Speaker!
I've swapped the original speakers out of my Hot Rod Deluxe & Princeton Reverb and put these in. Pricey, but what a transformation!

Great but would rather have the neo version
Large and heavy, put it in a blues deluxe, sounds great, I also have the same speaker only with the neo magnet I put in a black star ht5r, I would buy the neo over the Alnico only because of size and weight.

Smooth and silky
I used this speaker to replace the garbage OEM Fender speaker in my Hot Rod Deluxe IV. Nothing like putting a $350 speaker into a $300 amp ...lol. In all seriousness, this speaker made a world of difference. It's smooth and midrange forward but in a good way. Yes, it was expensive but as a steadily gigging musician, it was well worth it.

Best Speaker I've Ever Played, Period
I bought this as a replacement for the Eminence Texas Heat speaker that came with a Fender SUPERSONIC combo amp. I did so because the Eminence is just too midrange-y. I've been playing for 45 years and this is far and away the best speaker I've ever had the pleasure of playing through. It flatters all frequencies without privileging any of them. Makes my humble combo amp sound like the Two-Rock I bought as an alternative to the $100k Dumble that is jusssssst out of reach :). Before purchasing, I checked all the shootouts I could find on YouTube and read all the purchase reviews here and on other retailer sites. Folks raved about this speaker and within 10 seconds of wiring it up I understood why. It's just the best! I am very happy with this purchase.

Exceptional Quality & Sound. Arrived Quickly.
Using this speaker to upgrade / refurbish an older Peavey guitar amplifier. Very pleased with the build quality and tones. Received quickly, way exceeding expectations. Well packaged and protected. No cons.

Sweet mid range tone!
This speaker added new life into my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe that I've had for over 20 years. The stock speaker finally fizzled out, of which, never was a fan of the stock speaker. I wanted something closer to a classic rock style and this speaker fit the bill. The mid range tones on this are 2nd to none, in my opinion. Yet the clarity is equally impressive. I highly recommend shelling out the extra $$ for this alnico magnet speaker. Can't go wrong on this one. Not recommended for metal by any means, but this speaker is sweet.

great in a Fender
Took a while to like this speaker. Sounded somewhat choked and dark initially with Dumble style amps compared to a 12 65. Many hours later and switched to my Fender amp it sounds truly amazing. Nothing compares, and I have many speakers. Very rich and clear without being spikey. It also pairs very well with various other speakers. So it's 5 + stars if you play a fender, 3 stars if you play a D style and can't comment on other amps as that's all I have. Expensive but I would say well worth it when paired with th right amp.
