I Rarely Write Reviews On Amazon, But The Omnishaver Is So Good I Had To Share
I have been shaving my head on and off for more than 20 years, and have tried just about every product out there, from regular electric clippers, foil electric shavers, circular electric razors, even a curved electric clipper made specifically for heads (it's pretty good, too), and every kind of razor blade/cartridge out there (Gillette, Schick, etc.). For one reason or another, I have never been able to stick with any one of these methods for more than a few months. All the electric hair clippers make a mess, leaving clippings all over my sink, floor, face and body (plus, I like the shaved look more), and while the razor cartridges like the Fusion and the Sensor give a nice close shave that I love, they clog up constantly when I shave my head, which is incredibly annoying, and they are usually only good for two or three shaves. So, when I saw the Omnishaver advertised, I was not optimistic, but I figured it was worth a try, and for me, it really was a game changer. I LOVE this product! The first time I used it I had some difficulty (and even cut myself), because you have to use a back and forth motion that is very different from using a standard razor, and you need to apply a little pressure and use strong strokes for it to really do what it's supposed to do, but once you get used to it, there is no better way to shave your head! I use a shave butter (not the Omnishaver brand, but a less expensive one) and apply a thin coating, and it really only takes 3-4 minutes to shave my whole head. The end result is not quite a smooth as you get using a Gillette Fusion, but it's close enough, and when I'm done shaving my head with the Omnishaver, I often take my Fusion (which I use for my face) and just run it over any spots that aren't quite baby smooth, just to finish up the job. But that last part isn't necessary; the Omnishaver is more than good enough by itself. Also, it doesn't clog, you don't have to constantly rinse it off, and the blades lasted more than three months before I replaced them. One thing that was helpful: I went on YouTube and found some videos where they review/demonstrate how the Omnishaver works, and they were very helpful. As I said, it's not the same motion or feel as shaving your face, so watching a couple of instructional videos was very helpful in learning how to use it. Again, it takes a few shaves to get used to it, but once you will, shaving your head will no longer be a chore.

Awesome little razor so far.
Just used it for the first time and I pray it lasts. I first used my trimmers to get my hair down real low (almost shave level). Then I washed my head with some soap to give it a quick clean. Then rinsed with the hottest water I could stand for a little over 30 seconds as per my shaving cream instructions to prep my scalp. Lathered my scalp with my shaving cream and went to work with this little guy. It is a little device in that I’m very happy I have medium sized hands because it felt small to me. Someone with bigger hands would just have to use more finger tips to control it, so no biggie. Used the back and forth strokes like they suggested and I must say it performed very well. I was surprised to see that it pivots and moves to help with contours of the scalp. Don’t know if I missed that in the description, but was very happy it did. The only thing I did which they suggested not to, was I had to stop and do my head in two sections. They say to keep going to help it clean itself and keep itself sharp but I did the top half to the front, and then the top half to the back/bottom of my head. I just didn’t have the hand control to stroke all the way from the front of my head to the back of my neck area. All in all, it was virtually effortless. Once finished, I rinsed it in hot water, blew it off, then put it to soak in isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes. Then shook it off, blew it off, and put it in its case that came with it. I really hope the blades last, as I’ll probably be shaving my head twice a week. If I can get at least a month, so about 8 shaves, without having to put a refill, I’d love that. Just hoping I don’t break out or anything like I did with my previous razor attempt. Only time will tell, but for now, I’m very pleased.

Was nice at first...
It gave me a great shave the first few tries. But now the blades are rusted and new ones cost wayyyyy too much. Going back to my headblade.

Cuts down the shave time!
This product definitely cuts down the shave time! But, it doesn't shave as close as my regular disposable cartridge shaver on all parts of my head. I had some pulling/tugging issues, but pressing a bit harder (like the instructions say) helped with that. When I do what I think I'm supposed to do, it gets a pretty close shave on most of my head, but there are consistent areas where it doesn't quite get smooth, and I go over those areas again with my cartridge razor. I've tried changing the direction of the shave motion using this shaver, but nothing seems to help in those areas. My only thought is that my head shape, in those areas, doesn't work well with this shaver. Also... suggestion for the seller... if you want to sell that Shave Butter, maybe include a sample package in with the razors, so we can see what that stuff is like, enough for a shave or two. I'd be interested, but I have other stuff that seems to work well enough for me.Pretty decent product, over all!
