The Standard British English Dialect (CD included)

Paul Meier was wonderful. He accidently sent me the wrong version of what I ordered so he sent me the correct one and sent it to me so I could access on line and keep the wrong version! I found out he's a dialect coach and I was terrified I would not be able to learn a Scottish accent for the play I was cast in. I sent him my lines, we set a time and he helped me over Skype. He saved me! I came across very believable. My actor friends laughed hard when they heard my Scottish!

Bought this for teenage son, who needed to develop a true British accent for an audition. He's more of a computer guy, so he preferred learning via u-tube videos and other on-line help. This comes with a CD, but teenage son is stubborn. I prefer reading concepts first, so it helped me to critique him.

A great systematic approach to the received pronunciation dialect of English. Paul Meier is easy to understand, and provides you with other resources apart from the very useful handbook and Audio CD.

Not as easy as popping in the CD and listening and learning. A lot of booklet and online reading and listening involved as well. I bought it as a gift so I have not put the time in : /

This book was delivered within 3 days! It was awesome! However it's very thin for $25... dissapointing. Only 26 pages.The material is concise and comprehensive and the CD is great, I just wish it had a few more details and examples.
