"Survival" knives aren't supposed to be edcs, camping, throwing, or bushcraft knives. However, this thing and its smaller sibling, the jk2 seem to be perfect for their task. The extra kit that comes with them is amazing, and, if you don't want all of it, you can substitute or even add your own choices. Just know that this knife is not an axe, hammer, pry-bar or any other tool. No non-full-tang, hollow-handle knife could ever be. As far as I can tell, though, these Aitors are the best (out of 6 types I've owned). I think Schrade or somebody some time made a hollow-handle knife that was actually machined out of a single billet of steel that might stand up to more abuse? When I saw it a number of years ago, I didn't buy it because it wasn't made a stainless steel I think. That's a must in an outdoor knife for me. This is one of the best survival knife on the market
This knife is solid.. Has slung shot. Has needle and thread.. Skimmer knife.. Really well made.. This knife is made in Spain
