I was so happy with my original purchase that I ended up buying a second bookshelf. It was a snap to put together and looks fantastic! I was so happy that this is real reclaimed wood and not the cruddy laminate that most sellers offer.The only thing to consider is that real wood has real character and the shelves are not completely smooth on the tops. You will want to evaluate each of the boards when putting it together, as books may not sit as well on bumpier shelves. The seller offered to send me replacement boards, but I have enough other items (non-books) that it worked out just fine for me.

Majority of rustic book shelves are using mdf with wood veneer. This one actually utilizes reclaimed wood. Overall excellent and sturdy book shelf. Assembly was relatively simple and took about 30 mins to screw together. Looks fantastic and much more expensive than what it costs.

This is a great looking and functional book shelf. We use it in our pantry for shelving. Sturdy, looks awesome, and was easy to assemble. You should have 2 people assemble just make it quicker and easier. Plus when assemble is heavy since real wood. The shelves are awesome. Remember its reclaimed wood so there will be knicks and little stuff but that adds character.

This is one of the better shelving systems for the money. The shelves sit on metal beams, which is critically important if you are putting any weight on them. The points of attachment are sufficient and the overall heft of the unit is surprising whilst not being too heavy that it cannot be moved. Moving it is a one-person job.The wood is less than stellar, but the description is clear that this is reclaimed wood. For the intrepid DIY'ers, sanding and staining would be no problem, and the results would catapult this unit into a much higher price bracket.The stability is not great, but the unit is not heavy enough to create that. With proper load distribution the unit seems strong.Overall a good purchase and a great, old, industrial look.

So rare to find real wood that's affordable. I like the varied look of the boards and they are sturdy and won't sag with time. I was looking for a larger shelving unit so this is perfect. I was especially looking for a usable 5th top shelf and since the metal sides extend up above the top shelf this unit has that!Very happy with this. The jars in the pic are Ball 1/2 gallon, each shelf fits 8 across and 2 deep with space, 3 deep touching.

I mean it looks nice and it works but the screw holes are not well aligned on most shelves. Have to only use 3 on one shelf instead of 4. Also can't screw in one of the holes for the cross bar.I'd get something else. It's not easy to return.

Even though I've only had this bookcase for a few hours, I love it! It arrived on time and in perfect condition. It was one of the easiest bookcases I've ever assembled. It took less than an hour to have it all put together. Cheaper bookcases take longer and seem less stable (even some more expensive bookcases seem to be of less quality). This seems very sturdy and I love the reclaimed wood. I really wanted to avoid fake wood, and am pleased that the boards on this are reclaimed, lessening the environmental impact. It goes surprisingly well with some of my pieces of furniture. I would highly recommend this.

The item is a good looking shelf and easy to put together I like it a lot the problem is the manufacturer sent it out and the tape on the box had been all ripped off it was clearly damaged I returned it I re-ordered it again and the manufacture just re-sent the same one that was damage that I returned so now it came in the same box that was damaged they taped it back up when I got home today I am taped it and open it up and it’s still a damage shelf disappointing
