These oyster shells are amazing. So much easier than grilling the shelled oysters. You can put them in the oven, on the grill, and the broiler. I made Rockefeller and their chargrilled recipe. They turned out better than restaurant oysters.

These ceramic oyster shells are absolutely awesome! I wanted them to cook shucked oysters to save time, and it did a great job. My company was so impressed with the presentation and how well the oyster Rockefeller turned out. The shells cleaned up so easy too, and very durable. The package even came with some recipes that look amazing. Can’t wait to try them. If you’re not sure whether to buy, DO IT!!! You will not be disappointed.

Had 24 of these bought many years ago. They work great. And look good. So when I was having a larger gathering and wanting 24 at the time I bought another 24. 24 cooking 24 eating. The new ones not even close tot he same quality. All the shells look exactly the same. And it was a shock to see it states do not place on direct flame - but that’s how you chargrill oysters!!! Did it anyway and multiple new ones broke. The older ones have been in direct flame soMany times I can’t count. Don’t know what change in the production process but something did. Still better than shucking but I just know at some point I’ll be back down to the original 24 that I love and will not by anymore

The oyster shell dishes are beautiful. Each one unique and so well made. I put them all on the top rack for their initial wash, and they came out clean and ready for use. The packaging is secure and not a single chip on any of them. I immediately ordered another set!

I used them for Christmas Day lunch, under the broiler, and they worked perfectly. I've been using them ever since and now think I need to purchase them for family and friends. All I need to do is buy fresh, shucked oysters at my local market, which are less expensive than fresh oysters in their shells, place them into the ceramic Loftin oyster shells, with whatever topping we want, grill or broil and boom, done! Can't believe I waited so long to purchase these. Love them.

This isMy second set of oyster shells. I used the first set at the lake house for both raw and grilled oysters and they were great. When I washed the shells I used for grilling I soaked them in dish soap and warm water and then was able to wash them using only a dish rag. I needed a second set for my main house as they really worked well.

The shells appear sturdy and came in a nice bag. The cooking side looked fine but the back side was a plain, rough textured tan color. The back side wasn't visible in the pictures. They were not realistic looking. The return process is cumbersome compared to most Amazon purchases. The vendor must contact you first. Still waiting for authorization to return them.
