This book has loads of ideas, and each project has very brief instructions. The supposition is that if you choose a knitting project, for example, you are already familiar with knitting, so the text just provides standard lingo ("2K and 2P for 3.5 cm," etc.); it doesn't teach you how to knit, and no project has step-by-step photos. That said, the photography in this book is absolutely beautiful, and each finished project is shown close up so that you can easily see how items are made. Also, I have to say that the majority of projects don't require any special skills. If you find Scandinavian aesthetics appealing and are looking for simple, charming items for your holiday decor, this book is absolutely for you.

Most of the crafts are easy to do with your children. Simple, inspiring ways to get outdoors, collect materials to work with. Includes making winter food for birds. A wonderful addition to your Christmas craft collection of go-to books.

There are a lot of really easy things to do with your kids. There are some things that I probably won't make, but I still enjoyed the photos and the ideas. It's a lovely book that really inspires you to make some simple things for Christmas that involve lots of family time. I like that.

This is such a fun little book that takes simple, organic materials and turns them into fun decorations for Christmas.

very authentic, very beautiful projects. love this book and will add to my collection as a favorite. have already used several ideas, makes the house look natural, traditional and brings back great memories.

One of the better books with projects and ideas for delightful Christmas gifts and decorations. No expensive or hard to find items needed to finish projects.

Pleased with this book. Its a big book, hard cover, great ideas and photos. Lots to do from crafting, preparing for Christmas, making treats. Lovely book.

Disappointed overall. Very basic ideas which would be fine for children. e.g cut Christmas tree shape from paper, glue to a straw, arrange with others in a tub (!) or tea light holder grab an empty jar, wrap a white dish cloth around it, sew a seam, add a tea light candle(!), or bind a few cinnamon sticks with ribbon (!), or paper star shapes glued to string for a garland, some knotting purse ideas, few recipes and fatball for birds. I am glad I didn’t pay the full price and am going to list mine for sale.

So many great ideas and so many lovely pictures. I would recommned this to anyone who is looking for little bit different Christmas ideas and theme. All material and ideas easy to do nothing is difficult to get, some of the materials you will just find in the forest. I also really like recipe which add extra special touch to the Scandinavian Christmas athmosphere.I think I will definitely add this book on my list as a great present for anyone in love with Christmas and making their home extra cosier and special:)

What a lovely hyggelig book of crafting. I am not into the flimsy glitzy aluminium foil decorations and prefer more the old-fashioned homely stuff of yesteryear and this has some lovely inspirations in it. If you like crafting and Scandinavian stuff, this is right up your street.
