Perspective for Interior Designers: Simplified Techniques for Geometric and Freehand Drawing Paperback – August 1, 1989

This is a book with a simple and accurate method to make perspective drawings from floor plans. Nowadays with digital tools and CAD systems, this is not a problem. However, they joy of being able to make accurate and nice perspective drawings of my living room and house, is fantastic. The "forgotten"(?) method requires only paper, a ruler and a pencil. The method is quick too :-) Instead of buying a coloring book, get this book, make a perspective drawing of (new?) your kitchen plan, and try out different kitchens and colors. Higly reccommended.

I have a degree in art and I never took perspective in interior design school because I had "already" learned 2 point perspective.There are specific techniques to drawing interiors (and perspective in general) that I learned from this book - I feel like I was living under a rock until I opened this.

I was hoping to use the book as a study supplement for my art class, but didn't realize it was advanced architectural study (I'm just beginning). My fault........the book was in very good condition.😊Thanks

Did not have any graphics or drawing classes before my first classes. Hand rendering is essential for design - and I needed a more in depth understanding of how to look at and draw. This book is a good primer.

John Pile presents the two point perspective in a simplified, clear, concise manner yet it's very extensive in content. I would highly recommend it for any Interior Designer wanting to know more about perspective drawings.

Purchased the book as a gift for my sister, who was showing an interest in interior design. It's a great introduction book to some fundamental concepts of design and really focuses on improving the reader's understanding of perspective in their sketches.
