I love this coffee!
Like many others I have been around the world, figuratively speaking, trying so many different coffee beans. From award winning, micro-roasting coffee roasters to the more popular brands. However, I always seem to come back to Taylors. The Hot Lava Java coffee bean is a no nonsense, straight up bean which, for me anyway, does exactly what I want. It tastes amazing, that first coffee of the day is a real "Oh yes, that's just what I need," moment. It's a rich, dark bean and like all the other Taylors beans I've tried, grinds well in a bean to cup machine. One other thing, I find that it leaves no after taste at all and if in the off chance I let it get cold, it still tastes good then.I always seem to make the mistake of trying to see if the grass is greener, but it isn't as I have found the grass on this particular side of the fence is lush and bountiful. This coffee bean is now on my Subscribe & Save list.

Great beans for expresso
I've been trying many different makes and types of coffee bean in the last few years, and I keep coming back to these. I prefer a stronger flavour and a darker roast. These beans fit that profile perfectly with a slightly smokey flavour. Prefect if you like a strong expresso. The 1KG bags are pretty good value for money too. And the beans are of a good quality, without the bits you sometimes get in other makes, and of a consistant quaily from bag to bag.

Strong coffee
I’ve ordered several times as we like this coffee. It’s often much more expensive compared with the other coffees we like so it’s a more an occasional buy. Delivery is quick.

Taylors of Harrogate Hot Lava Java Coffee Beans 1kg
[Original Review - 12-Dec-19]Perfect flavour and strong caffeine hit. High quality beans and great value for money.I moved away from Illy Medium Roast as I wanted a stronger caffeine hit and this doesn't disappoint. I drink it black - espresso, and can confirm that there is no bitterness. It's a very smooth taste. However, I'll caveat that by saying that my Gaggia coffee machine settings are now optimised for the perfect coffee.[Updated Review- 20-Feb-22]No changes in quality to my original review. The only thing that has changed is my coffee machine - Siemens EQ.9 s300 TI923309RW. Once again, you need to find the right settings for the perfect coffee.Whoever is saying that the quality has gone downhill must have had a bad batch.

Well-rounded taste, good value
A full-flavoured coffee, without being bitter. This isn't 100% arabica. Robusta beans are in the blend, which give it those earthy, biscuity tones, plus the higher caffeine content. If I had to compare it to another big-brand coffee, I'd say the nearest is my former go-to, Lavazza Red. I stopped buying Lavazza for political reasons (google it), but this does the job nicely, at a good price.Enjoy.

Best coffee ever
I used to have organic coffee brought from abroad however once i tried this one I stopped ordering from other places. This coffee has a full body flavour not under roasted nor burnt as some Lavazza coffee beans. The price is really good given the 1kg pack. It has some cream which is really good for patterns. The coffee does not go stale after opening. It lasted for us for about a month given that me and my gf are serving 2 cups of coffee each per day.

Not as good as the ready ground. Pack is not resealable.
Not as smooth tasting as usual, also would have expected a bag of this size to have a reseal strip in it.I was delighted to find my favourite ground coffee sold as beans, as I have a pro bean grinder at home. Unfortunately, despite keeping them in a sealed container in the freezer the flavour is not as good as the ready ground packs. Will be trying other Arabica beans from a different supplier.

Best beans we can find
Bought a bean to cup machine and immediately disappointed with the strength / flavour of all the beans we tried. Eventually found this one and haven't looked back. I find an espresso topped off with a cappuccino gives just the right balance.
