No cell service to 5 bars! HiBoost is great!
Great product and truly great tech support! Frankly, amazing! I researched a number of products and landed on HiBoost, bottom line, this 4000 sq ft unit works great! Previously we had next to no cell service in our home, we were down to 1 bar of 4G (5G was impossible). We're both on Verizon Wireless. Getting phone calls was impossible, even on WiFi it wasn't pretty. The install was pretty straight forward and the package included everything you need. The user guide that comes in the box is not exactly crystal clear due to a somewhat poor language translation to English from what I assume was initially written in Chinese. That said, you can figure out what the guide is talking about with little effort. Here's the deal, you will be using 2 different apps that you will download to your smart phone from your app store. They are free. It will be smoother (but not necessary) if you can use 2 different smart devices so you can see both apps at the same time. Again, nice but not a requirement. One app allows you to locate the position of the closest cell tower so you can aim the antenna in the correct direction to get the best service. The second app allows you to interface with the HiBoost unit itself so you can see how well its boosting the signal and a number of other features. The key at first is to leave the indoor antenna unplugged from the HiBoost unit while your using these 2 apps to fine tune the outdoor antenna and signal. Once you get the best signal using the 2 apps then you can connect the indoor antenna and you'll be good to go. We went from having a constant 1 bar of 4G up to having 5 bars of 5G. I can now make and receive phone calls as well as watch video using my phones data. I'm now able to take some of the data load off of my WiFi. Great stuff! I love this unit. I received an email from HiBoost a few days after I received the unit, checking in to ask how I liked the unit. At first I ignored the email but then they sent another. I actually had a question about the LED indicators on the front panel so I replied to the email. About 30 seconds later I get a text message from Noah in tech support asking me how he could help. I have to admit that at first I was a bit skeptical about this support model (I mean what company does this?), but I went back and forth with Noah a few times and he answered my questions. I spent much of my career in tech support and I can say that we rarely reached out to a customer proactively. What a great business model! Kudos to Noah and HiBoost, job well done on a great product!

Great product with some caveats
My use: My elderly mom recently got a Medical Guardian health alert device. The Medical Guardian uses the AT&T cell network. Inside her house, which is in a near dead zone, the cell signal from any of the major carriers is almost non-existent. To place a cell call, one has to go out in the front or back yard. In her case, she would have to be near a front window and hold her pendant over her head at just the right angle for the MG to be able to contact the service. Obviously, this isn't tenable in an emergency situation. Pros: This is a very nice and professionally made product. All the cables, hardware, packaging are of high quality. Everything you need is in the box. One thing they don't mention in the description is that there is a small, thin cable that allows you to transition the exterior cable run through a window or door to the interior cable run without drilling a hole in a wall. This was a feature I really wanted, and took a chance based purely on one of the blurry pictures in the description, and my gamble worked out: the cable was included. HiBoost should tout the inclusion of this cable a bit more, IMO, as this is really a good feature. After installation, the signal improvement was phenomenal! Prior to installing the cell booster, her pendant could not connect to the service at at all. After installing, we tested the Medical Guardian from various rooms in the house (about a 2,400 sq ft home) and was able to contact the MG service correctly. Cons: I didn't need any additonal RG6 cable for my mom's installation. If you need to run the cables more than about 50 feet, you would have to get more cable from HiBoost, I think. The co-ax connections that HiBoost uses are proprietary, I believe. I have not seen connectors like these before. The manual implies that the SignalSupervisor app for your iOS or Android device as something wonderful and helps with the install. I downloaded it, and tried to use it to install the system, but I wasn't impressed. It took forever and a couple reboots of my phone and the booster to get the Bluetooth connected. Once connected, the signal strength readings would rarely update when I turned the exterior antenna in various directions. In the end, I gave up on the SignalSupervisor app. It was a lot faster and easier for my mom to watch the panel on the booster and call out the numbers as I oriented the antenna. Overall: It's a good unit, and it worked very well for us, and I see a lot of value for the money. I would definitely consider HiBoost again when looking for a booster for our new RV. Lowered the rating one star on Tech Support and Easy to Install because of the wasted time I spent with the useless SignalSupervisor app. Wasted time is something none of us can ever get back. (Note: There is no cell booster on the market that can create a cell signal where none exists. You need to have at least one bar in your area for anything like this to have any hope of working.)

This is a good cell booster in an area where I had absolutely no signal.
I purchased this booster for a lake house that has virtually no cell signal. On a cloudy day you may get 1 bar but that's it! The install is really easy so im going to focus the rest of this review on the tuning. 1) if you plan to use the app to tune the booster, you need to download the app before you get to the area where you don't have a signal. 2) I was able to somewhat use the booster enough to get the app to work so that I could get the signal dialed in better. the app doesn't work unless you have some kind of cell signal or wifi... 3) the instructions are easy to follow if you are using the app.. the analog install instructions could have provided better information about what the numbers mean... This would have been a big help. 4) the interior antenna works fairly well.... I have a good range based on the layout of my house. 5) you have to tune the exterior antenna to get the best signal... Then you have to move the interior antenna all around until you get the best signal using the app. This is a very important step in the instructions that you could glance right over if you don't read all of the instructions! All in all the booster works! Prior to install I barely had 1 bar outside on a cloudy day. After install as long as I'm within about 10' of the interior antenna I have a sold 5 bars of signal and could streamovies to my TV no problem. As I moved further away to about 25' I lost 1 bar of signal. At about 30' and through 2 walls I had one bar that would load slowly in a room where I NEVER got signal before. If someone says that the booster isn't working for them it's most likely because there aren't any cell towers within range or they didn't tune BOTH antennas correctly. Long story short this booster works well and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Zero customer service (amended review) It got better.
Customer service is nonexistent. HiBoost relies on online videos to answer all your questions and solve all your problems. Unfortunately, that does not work. If you don’t have cell service and are installing a cell booster antenna to get better cell coverage and data, it stands to reason you probably won’t be able to use your phone to download videos for the installation! Shocking! Also The user manual that comes with the unit is useless. It’s translated from Chinese to English, which is easy to tell from the wording. The unit has adjustments on it but there is no direction as to what they do. When you call customer service, no one answers, and no one calls you back. I tried over multiple days and left multiple messages with no response. They want you to download signal supervisor app for installation, but it doesn’t work properly. They say the optimal installation is if you have Wi-Fi to assist you in hooking it up. If you have Wi-Fi , you have Internet, so the booster most likely wouldn’t be needed. Shocking! It offers a non-Wi-Fi hook up through Bluetooth. But when you’re up in a tree or on a roof at the antenna trying to adjust it for the best signal, you’re too far away for the Bluetooth to connect properly. The installation APP Signal Supervisor has strength meters but they don’t work properly, forcing you to constantly refresh them instead of getting a real time reading. With the antenna pointing directly at the cell tower it has the same reading if I turn it backwards or sideways. Again, if I was able to talk to a real person and get some questions answered it might help. That appears to be not the case so the unit is going back before 30 day window is up. Do not waste your time. I spent several days putting this in a tree 35 feet above the ground and I follow all over their rules. I wasted three days. I wish they could pay me for my labor and wasting my time. Update: I was finally able to make contact with the day-to-day representative that answers the phone normally. When I described how my unit was working, she was under the impression that it was malfunctioning and I should send it in for testing. They don’t cover the cost of shipping and there was no telling how long they would have it, so I declined. I was still within the 30 day Amazon return window, so I returned it to Amazon. I ordered a new unit at the same time and it arrived directly. A day or so later, I was contacted by a technician who really seem to know his stuff. I explain the situation and what it was doing, and he was very helpful. Since it is not at my normal residence, but at a cabin, he wasn’t able to help me at that time. The next time I went over to my cabin, I was able to call him directly and he spent a good amount of time explaining what the buttons do on the unit (it doesn’t explain that in the manual) and helping me to adjust things. The new unit initially worked the same as the one I sent back so clearly it wasn’t an issue with the first unit malfunctioning What we ended up doing was turning the gain way down on the 1900 and 2100 frequencies (the lower two frequencies on the screen). The unit was losing connection because it was vacillating between the frequencies and wouldn’t stay locked on. Since I have adjusted it, it seems to be working very good and I was actually able to stream a movie, when before I couldn’t download the TV Guide. Their manual could certainly be written better with more information, but the unit seems to work now. When I was finally able to talk to a real person who knew what was going on it made a big difference. Like I stated before, it’s hard to download YouTube videos for help with installation when you have poor cell service. So having to depend on YouTube videos does not work. Their customer service was very nice, they were just very difficult to get a hold of. With the unit working properly at this time, I would recommend this unit at this point. I changed my review from one star to four-star. Even though they eventually contacted me and were helpful getting the unit working properly, I don’t believe that initial customer service has changed drastically and their installation manual is severely lacking. If you’re willing to be persistent with customer service, it helps.

No more "can you hear me now?!"
This product works as advertised, and I had multiple people reach out to me from Customer Service just in case I was having difficulty with the install. While I didn’t need assistance, I appreciated the contact to offer help. I will say that installing the antenna and running cables is not for someone afraid of heights or drilling holes, but for the average DIYer, it is manageable. And, the results are great. The best thing for me is that the HiBoost covers frequencies for both AT&T and Verizon. With our house in a low spot, we have minimal signal in the house, despite living in an urban area. We needed a boost and we got it. My fiancée makes daily calls (AT&T iPhone) to her elderly mother and would have to literally walk around the house doing the “can you hear me now” thing. I finally decided to investigate boosters and found this one with high ratings. I have an Android on Verizon, so I was happy that the HiBoost covers my phone, too. (Although I usually use Wi-Fi so the low signal for calls was not as much of an issue for me, I am happy that I can now send a photo via text without having to open the patio door to hold my phone outside.) I went the route of using the display on the amplifier to determine best tower location. I climbed on the roof to a safe place and pointed the antenna in all directions making note of the strongest overall signal for 700 & 1900 MHz (general frequencies for AT&T and Verizon). Because the roof is extremely steep on all sides, I initially tried to mount the antenna on the old Dish Network pole near the edge of the house. This only returned minimal signal as the roof partially blocked the signal direction I needed. As the roof is too steep to safely climb in the direction I needed (because, of course it is….dang it), I was forced to mount the antenna to a tree. Yes, I know it will move around and signal will not be consistent, but you do what you can (already pushing it with tree as HOA probably won’t allow a pole). But, the results are nice with the increased height, and my fiancée can now make phone calls wherever she wants in the house. Winning! We went from 1 bar to average of 3 bars (and sometimes 4 bars in the house). Telephone calls and texts process normally inside the house which was NOT the case before. So, if you are frustrated with call/text/data issues, HiBoost can help. While the technical install portion was a bit confusing using the app (so not 5 stars), I give HiBoost credit for reaching out to help without prompting. And, ease of install requires climbing and attic stuff, so not 5 stars, but still give them 4 stars for having all the parts and items necessary to make install as easy as possible. Value for money (well, I bought right before the sale started) is tough as HiBoost is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The 4K signal booster seems to be really well made and equipment seems professionally manufactured. And, it works. So, while a bit expensive, still 4 stars on "value for the money" for quality and the fact that it works.

A great solution for an annoying issue
Like most people, I love my cell phone carrier but hate their crappy signal strength. When I am in my home in a fairly populated area, you would think I would be bathed in cell signal. Nope. Not even close, inside my home, I get, if I am lucky, 1 bar of strength. right before I was going to call and have a land line reinstalled in my home, I decided to do some checking to see if there were any devices that could boost my signal strength. Low and behold, there are several. After reviewing several of the companies out there, I settled on HiBoost. It was mostly due to positive reviews and of course that their products actually work. I ordered the unit and it came the next day. A first for me actually so that was pretty thrilling unto itself. I tore open the package like a kid on Christmas Day and found that PERFECT gift I always never knew I wanted. Once I checked to make sure everything that was supposed to be with the unit was here, my next step was to go over the instructions and see how much of a pain it would be installing this thing. Well, first off, you have to have some skills with tools to install this thing. If you don't, I would recommend looking for the version that includes installation. They do have those for some brands. I am fortunately very handy and went to work mounting the interior antenna on the wall pointing in the opposite direction that the outside antenna will face. This is per the instructions as it will give a better signal output and not cause any potential issues with the outside antenna. Next, I decided to mount the wall unit inside my coat closet. Since this isn't a model that has a built in broadcasting antenna (they have models like that) it was a good place to put it. You need a power source for the booster unit and I was lucky enough to have an outlet in my coat closet. Now comes the fun part, up on my roof, after reviewing where my local cell towers are from my providers web site, I was able to mount the antenna relatively easy onto the corner of one of the dormers on my roof. I drilled a hole under the eave and fished the provided coax cable into my attic. The antenna mount has some adjustment, I will get to that in a bit. I then went into my attic, ran the remaining provided coax to the interior antenna and the other end down into my coat closet. After that, I ran the outside antenna's coax down into the coat closet but before doing so, I put a blue piece of electrical tape around the cable near the connector so I wouldn't get the ends mixed up for which was the outside and and which was the inside. I installed the outside antenna only as per the instructions and powered the unit up. I then went back outside onto the roof and with the help of the recommended app that allows for the fine tuning/positioning of the outside antenna, I was able to get the readings on the app to be in the good column with little to no effort/adjustment. I then went back inside and connected the interior antenna and anxiously looked at my phone. I was absolutely floored to see 3 and an occasional 4th bar appear for signal strength. It has been like that since I installed the unit last week and I have not missed a call, nor had to wander like a nomad in the desert looking for cell service in my home. I am VERY much impressed and pleased with this booster and I saved at least $400 over the one my local cell company peddles on their web site. That one is without installation as well in case you were wondering. Now I am bathed in quality cell service thanks to Hiboost! I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is annoyed by pathetically weak cell service in their home. I am thinking of buying one of these for my mom as she is advancing in years and I want to make sure she can reach me or someone else if there is an emergency.

Excellent Product and Service if You Are Having Cell Phone Reception Issues.
I purchased this item in 2023. Installation was very straightforward (other than running cables through my attic to the antennae). The unit worked well however the the unit only worked well in a small area covered by the single antennae and my wife still had issues with calls in various other parts of the house. I subsequently purchased the larger 10K version with two antennas. I actually used same mounting locations and wires for the main unit and one of the antennas and mounted the other antennae to cover the remainder of the house. We now have excellent coverage throughout the house and even out on our lanai. Support by Noah was excellent throughout. There was some confusion re: reusing antennae from the first kit for the second, etc. and Noah offered and sent a second antennae at no charge just to resolve the issue. One of the best companies I have dealt with in a long time and one where you can actually talk with a real person!

I can finally dump the land line!
Okay, first I have to say that I am VERY happy with this purchase. It gets five stars from me. Now, I'll give you my story. When we first moved to this area, the cell phone signal was great. But, over the years, it's gotten worse and worse. The explanation I got from the carrier was that they couldn't keep up with the population growth and get enough bandwidth to provide decent service to all the customers. Central Texas has been booming. None of the infrastructure is growing fast enough to meet the needs. Our cell phone service provider is no exception. It got to the point where we couldn't rely on our cell service at all, in our own home. We had to carry our cordless land line phones with us all the time. It was very frustrating. Based on my brother-in-laws experience and recommendations, I decided to try a signal booster. After doing WEEKS of research, I decided on this one from HiBoost. It took me a while to decide. These things aren't cheap. The installation and setup of this system is complex and requires a good amount of work. If you're not technically inclined, a regular handyman and able to climb ladders, roofs and do a lot of physical work, I recommend you get someone to do this for you. I'm 68 years old. But, still very physically active and very handy with tools and technical projects. So, I was able to do it myself. The entire kit is very well engineered, designed and built with top quality materials and components. The one thing that they don't include is a roof top antenna mast. There are several economical models available on Amazon. I was fortunate that my Dish antenna mast was close enough to an entry point that I could use it, instead of mounting another mast on the roof. The installation was somewhat easy. You need to lay out all the cables and components first, figure out how long the runs are and where to mount what. They provide a small diameter 'window' cable, so you don't have to drill through a wall. The best way to program it requires two people, one reading the signal strength on the amplifier and another to adjust the receiver. They also have an app that allows one person to do it. But, the two person method is preferred. The results are awesome. I went from one bar of reception in the house, to FOUR bars. Outside, I had two bars. You need to understand that, if you don't have any signal where you are, this device won't help. But, if you have ANY signal at all, this will definitely increase that signal and provide greater coverage in your home. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
